  1. Another useless question that I find intriguing.

    Which is more impressive?

    1) Taking down the Full Tilt $1K & stars $1K event on consecutive days

    2) Taking down the Sunday Million twice in a 52 week span

FWIW, I actually think the answer to this one is relatively easy, but am interested to hear other people's thoughts.

  2. Think the Sunday Million. With the 1k events generally you will know a good portion of your table and how they play and approach hands. With the Sunday Million even if you get deep, you don't know most if not all of your table. To be able to read the table quickly and avoid donk mines requires a certain level of play and understanding that goes above the norm.

Both feats are impressive. The Sunday Million wins go a little above though.
  3. I would say the million , but the fields in the 1k's are superstong most times but in the millions you need to avoid being donked for 10 hrs+play good+run good sooooo its a tough one but ill go with the millin
  4. I was leaning towards the 1k events until I realized winning two sunday millions pays much much more, even if you take out the 52 buyins you would spend.

  5. I would say the Million cause those fields are just so huge, being able to win a 5000 person tourny twice is pretty impressive in its own right let alone a specific tourny run once a week.
  6. The odds of winning the 1k events on consecutive days (assuming equal skill levels) is somewhere around 1/9000 (really rough guess 1/300 x 1/300 - im not sure if im right there, its been a while).... The odds of winning a single million (assuming equal skill levels - lol @ that assumption) probably average to around 1/6000. With only 52 shots to win 2 of them I'd say the million twice in a year has to be more of a statistical anomaly.

  7. sun mill twice in a year obv.
  8. 1/36000000 sounds about right...wining that thing once is more impressive
  9. ape hit this one on the head, either one is an insane statistical anomaly. Doing either isn't particularly that impressive, just lucky as fuck.

  10. That's what I was looking for Ape :).

And I'd have said the Million twice in a year > consecutive $1K events.

Similarly, 2 WSOP ME's in 50 years (with current field sizes) > back to back $50K HORSE championships. Agree?

  11. Let me win ONE 1k or ONE Sunday Million and watch me smile. There's no right answer, really, but #2 has to be a helluva lot tougher.
