  1. From the people who regularly post on pocket fives, I consider the following poker players to be among the best:

    JohnnyBax
    brsavage
    DoubleLucky
    Gank
    Loewa79
    Sheets
    acesfull23
    Mr Lobo
    SamENole
    HatJR

I am seeking honest feedback - brutally honest, please.

In the Q&A section, I posted the hands from the Paradise 50k and the UB 120K that put me out of the tournament on Sunday. They are called "you make the call part1" and "part 2". I had played what I felt like was flawless poker to get into good position in the tournament. I had made it down to the mid-20's without many big hands.

Do you think these were reckless plays? Were they unnecessary risks to take, or reasonable situational plays that just blew up because the opposing players were not good enough to make the right decision? Was the major mistake just not getting a good enough grasp of the other player to realize they wouldn't fold?

I really want to keep improving my game, and value your input. I'm sitting here mulling over these exits and wonder if I'm just pressing too hard right now. It should have been a great payday on one site or the other.

  3. Nutz, i have one comment in particular, regarding other players perception of you at the table. You clearly understood that you had played very few hands, so you assumed that they would give you credit for a strong hand anytime you entered a pot. The harsh reality is that you should only assume this against a player you know to be a very good player. Poor players do not even pay attention to important things such as this. I tie this into the same thing as never bluff a bad player. A good player would give you credit for a hand and fold. A bad one was picking his nose when you were folding and never noticed you were playing solid.

If you don't know the player, assume he never noticed you didn't play many hands. Period.

You can't make advanced plays against remedial players, lol.

    Chris.

BTW, even though i love playing at dise, because it's structure makes you play aggressive, I swear, flamers be damned, that site is just plain off. I have never ever in my life seen such ridiculous beats take place. Period. There is something wicked at Dise.
