FiftyFifty strategy

    I haven't played that many yet, maybe 300-400. I play the $20 ones. I used to play $50 double or nothings back in early 2009 when they were soft and I raped them. I just can't seem to beat those $20 FiftyFiftys though. I've gone on losing/break even streaks that lasted more than 300-400 tourneys before in double or nothings so maybe I'm just running bad, but maybe also I have a leak in my game.

    I suppose that given the higher rake ($0.96 instead of $0.80 for the former double or nothings) pokerstars calculated that grinders could still make their 3% or 4% ROI in them. I understand that a big part of the strategy is to abuse the bubble whenever you happen to have a huge stack but other than that I don't know what else to do. It seems I rarely (20% of the time) have a $3,000 stack or better by the time there are 7 or 6 players left. Maybe I need to shove more. I don't know. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

    Edit: I play 20 tables at a time and sometimes I register when I shouldn't (4 or 5 grinders lined up). Maybe that has something to do with it.

    fifty/50's are a joke on stars. They did away with the don's because according to stars, there was way too much collusion going on in them...lol. Like there won't be in the Fifty/50's. Besides it is possible to actually cash in the Fifty/50 and still show a loss, that in itself is a joke! Good luck playing them just think they are another way for Stars to get more rake since the rake is higher in those than in the DON's and with the same format so yeah they are a joke!

    I agree with all of this, I used to play the don's a fair bit and even if there was collusion going on, I still raped.

    I've played a few Fifty50's on Stars and I'm not a fan at all

    I also played thousands of DON's and did well even with the collusion, but not doing quite as well in the 5050's.

    Seem to cash about 70% of the time, but rarely have a stack over 3000 chips.

    probably you aren't adapting. IMO you need to play these to win since a bubble raping to play for first can make for a very big payday. Min cashes aren't good enough.
