For the record, I think this play is as std as it gets. However, a good friend of mine who's game I have ALOT of respect disagrees with me. Just wanted some other opinions cause its been bugging me.
Villain was moved to table with short stack a rotation or two ago and I dont remember him playing a hand yet.

reshove i'd say not that great you have 4 guys behind you but what your gonna do.
the structure is generally not to great in these and i think you can never fold here -
diff fold over half your stack and imo your in a race at best
-
sadly the above mentioned post about the structure sucking in these tournaments is spot on. this late in thes huge field 24+2s on FT the antes are so high and with the 10 minutes levels the rest of the tournament is virtually a crapshoot so to have any shot at winning you need to get lucky and win confrontations like this.
Your only behind a couple of hands in this guys range and either way ahead or flipping against the rest so reship and hope to get lucky. -
this! and it would be so nice if ftp could at least make some of them 12min levels maybe the earlier once that dont have 1000+fields... but it will never happen i guess

I snapped shoved this because i figured based on his stack (a little over 7 bb's) his range was almost any Ace, 77 up, maybe 66, and prob KQ. Like I said, I thought this was extremely std cause how much longer can the guy wait around with his stack???? Anyway, sux to be me :( -
Like i said i snapped shoved with no second thought, it was only after my friend told me this was an easy fold that I started to question the play. My friend has some really good results so I really respect his opinion.

Also if anyone was wondering, my friend told me this was a fold as soon as I told him my hand so he wasnt being results oriented -
I have no problem folding here - you're not in a great spot - if you shove to iso, you have a bigger stack behind that might have woken up with a real hand and another that's almost the same size as yours still to act. Also, bgr might be a little short but he's still got about 9 bb and doesn't have to be shoving with atc yet just to pick up blinds and antes, I'd probably put him on a real hand as well - at best you're prolly 60-40, at worst you're looking at QQ+. And, there's 93K or so in the middle, you're less than 2 to one to call.
I obv have no results - so..but that's what I'd do and why -
not only do i get it in here...i get it in and i'm pretty excited about it

People does not shove as light as they are supossed to, and aplayer down to 7 BB's can easily be someone who's been waiting for a hand, and if that's the case, your AQ is not good. He is shoving EP, not button, not CO.

But the main reason behind folding are the stacks and amount of players yet to act in the hand.
In my first post I said I need to be on the button or the blinds in order to make this call, and I still believe that's the correct decission. -
I'd like to hear more from people who say this is a fold and some more reasoning for it cause i think it could make for an interesting discussion, or did anders hit it on head?
-
The only reason I could see folding here is because the antes and blinds in these are so high, there are a lot of opportunities to pick up pots uncontested. But I dont think I fold here, snap shove imo
