    If there have been previous posts on this, then apologies, but seriously wtf? This is getting out of control. Every player i know is sick of this now.

    These guys are persistently begging at every FT. They even beg in groups and split profits at the end of an evening and go out of their way to victimize players who dont give to them.

    I really wanna know where this is going? Is nothing ever gonna be done about this? These ass-clowns are ruining the game for rake paying players and are being allowed to continue doing so.

    Something seriously has to be done about this BS

    I think it is so pathetic. I hate to see it...
    Poker stars is cool, cause if they dont have enough money to buy in to the given tournament/game then they cant chat there

    I think when the tournament ends they might be able to speak, but I agree, the begging has to stop

    Does anyone actually send to beggers?

    Like the south park episode with the homeless people asking for change!

    Pretty big mistake. Making a FT gives me mostly a chance to make profit that day. If I brick all MTTs except a $109fo for example. I would need to get top 4 to get profit for the day... Sometimes ppl are on a downer and even though they a 50K score. They just get to break even or a smallish profit..

    Grinding MTTs is really a long term thing which most begger (read; 99,99%) don't understand because they are multitable begging instead of grinding..

    Now if I hit something nice or feel in a good mood (/have a upswing) I mostly send $1-5 to some ppl in the chat... Like last sunday for example. I gave away $10... (5 times $1 and 1 time $5..).. Some promise to send back more but I've never seen a single $ returned.. :P

    I always mess with the beggars. When they ask for $ I just say "sure". Then I tell them "it gives me an error when I try to send." Then i ask them to "send me $5 and I'll send them $6 back" and that "it should work if we do it that way."

    Making them rap is fun too. But I never ever send them money, ever.

    One time I needed a backer to ship me some more monies, but rather than just text him I decided to go to his table and pretend to be one of the rap beggars. I rapped, He shipped the $500, and the whole table was like "wtf, srsly?". It was allsome.

    Why should I have to?? That is not a solution, I have genuine friends that rail me and I enjoy their comments. I just dont want the comments of low life beggars!

    There are benefits to observer chat. Like if 15 players remain and the player on your left says "only 6 more until final table! This is my deepest run every, hope I make it!" Obv we can start opening his blinds with ATC. or if he says "sick fold getting 2.1:1 playerx" we know that he understands some basic pot-odds concepts.

    Surely an option to block chat from individual players (including observers) would be the only solution?

    And OP, if these are genuine friends that are railing just open up a chat room and talk that way and block the observer chat... many ways around this.

    FT's policy probably isn't going to change because a big principle built around the site is learn/chat/talk with the pros. This cant happen with out free speech. <--- can't tell if I'm being serious there lol

    you guys cant seriously be transferring these guys a single penny are you? i mean maybe around xmas if youre feelin like a nice guy then go for but other than that i cant imagine why you would waste your time to transfer some random guy anything. if they own a computer they can afford a $10 deposit.

    You can ignore individuals at anytime during an FTP tourny and still keep your observer chat on.

    If anyone comes on and starts begging all u have to do is right click on their name and block their chat (mute). That way u can control which observers chat u see. I personally don't mind beggars until I get shorthanded and need to focus more, then I block them.

    There is a guy that follows me around under the screen name SWINDLE32 never send him anything pretty much cuz his name screams scammer and I am always afraid if I transfer to a begger my account will be locked because I transferd to an account thats under investigation

    This is super annoying. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the fact that xfering to people you don't know can put your account in danger. If you xfer to somebody, and they become involved in something sketchy, then your account will likely become fozen.. which is a huge pain in the ass

    So even if you are feeling generous, it is still a pretty stupid thing to do
