  1. Here is my last hand at the final table of an $11 MTT on stars. The table has been passive to initial raises so I was trying to chip up by grabbing as many blinds as possible since they were so large. Looking back at this hand I probably shouldn't have pushed in to the chip leader and one person that could call me and not be that harmed, at the same time I think his calling range would be pretty small, he wasn't a poor player that would call off that much with a marginal hand. As I see it I had to push as a standard 2.5/3x raise would leave me around 11/12 big blinds, which I guess is manageable but at the time I didn't like the idea of letting him think he had fold equity (and in the end a 40/60? ain't that bad) My image at the time was probably solid, I did lose a big coin flip earlier but I didn't go crazy tilted afterwards.

Any comments are welcome, dumb push? over aggressive? standard?

  2. Well, JTs is the lower end of my push range @ 15bb and I'd probably only go from the btn. It's SH table but when you're called, you will not be beating anything and your cards might not be live.

I personally would wait through the blinds and look for a few hands. I'm sure a better situation could come up b4 I'd have to push 'J' high. JMHO
  3. I also find this hand rather marginal, though your effective M is low here. Fold with a clear conscience.
  4. this shove is close but its +EV
  5. 10Js plays very well against most calling ranges. I like a shove here.
