    Out 8th. Lost a brutal hand against the chip leader when he made a bluff but got lucky...didn't have to stones to pull the trigger on the flop even though I knew he was bluffing. Also couldn't do it on the river when I knew the ace would scare him. Sadness

    On another note....anyone capable of folding this hand? Again, I just about knew I was beat on the river...but still paid it off. Not a huge loss, but a loss nonetheless when I knew I was beat.

    You're at a (nearly) full table.

    You get AT off, not in the blind.. and re-raise all-in pre-flop? In this situation, any hand that calls you has you completely dominated, as TRok1 did (71.1% to 28.9% pre-flop, and it gets worse from there..).

    Now, I know you were at the table and I wasn't. I just think I'd pick a better hand to get all my chips in with, particularly given that stack size. It wasn't nearly desperation time yet.

    Just one Hokie's opinion.. congratulations on the $380+ profit.

    Hokie,

    Yea, that hand was a combo of tilt/frustration, along wiht the fact that TRok had raised double late in position twice before and taken down pots without a call. FIgured he could be making a move, or might just have a small pair or something like KQ, maybe K10 and I"m a favorite. Maybe I could've waited for another situation with a better chance to steal the blinds and antes, but as I was steaming I was looking to double up and get back in it. But again, with blinds at 8k/16k and an 80k stack I can't wait forever. But in hindsight...I definitely could've folded and normally would've ( I folded AJ just a few hands earlier)

    Good, as long as you learn something from this, then you'll make more than $380 on it.

    (so I'm told, anyway.. I apparently haven't learned jack shinola yet.. heh) ;)
