it appears that i have the best hand right now, but there's a ton of river cards that will scare me. should i be betting or just checking down and having a better shot at eliminating a short stack?

  2. anyone?

  3. I would probably just either - bet flop or check it down now

  4. Have a plan if your going to bet.. Thats all. If not check it down.
  5. strategically, if u r the mid-short stack, try to end the bubble(thus check if it's not a big pot), if u r the big stack, go for the chips, who cares if u double up the shortty, u get to steal more on the bubble.

  6. i'm checking the flop and betting the turn...i don't like betting this flop at all because you have little info about villain's hand and a flop bet is likely just a spew because that flop likely hits the villain's range...when villain checks the flop back now you have a lot of info about his range..he's unlikely to check a king so even if he has a mid-pp you can represent the king or better by betting the turn. i'm not concerned at all whether the short stack is elminated or not i'm concerned about giving myself the best chance to win the hand. even if the short stack tripples up here, he's still really short and is likely to be eliminated next anyways...
