seems so sick

10FPPS to reenter each Tourney Round 1 seems a little steep, I only have like 1200 FPPS...
-
120 entries not enough for ya?
-
Here at work.. blocked from poker game sites.. can someone give a quick rundown on the details.. much thanks if you do.. -Josh
-
ooooo.. I'm playing the first round in 2 hours..
-
Everyone got one ticket to round 1 and you get another one when you earn 10 points. It looks like each round 1 gives 50 spots to round 2. Not sure after that. I think if you win a round 2 you are in.

In 2003, a relatively unknown player went from playing online at PokerStars to being the face of poker, and winning $2.5 million. His name is Chris Moneymaker. Now, PokerStars is giving you the chance to become the next Moneymaker Millionaire.
The Moneymaker Millionaire is a free poker tournament that will be played online at PokerStars from July 24 - December 3, 2006. 27 players from our three rounds of online qualifying will advance to our final round, and play live at the Atlantis Resort and Casino in the Bahamas for cash and prizes.
Here's how you can become the Moneymaker Millionaire:

Once you've used your free entry ticket, you can enter additional Round 1 satellites for ten Frequent Player Points per event. There is no limit to the number of times you can play in our daily Round 1 events using FPPs. FPP's are Frequent Player Points earned by playing in real money games. For more information on FPPs click here.

These fields should be fun to get through.

Only 10,000 entrants in each round 1 event! Piece of cake!
-
The next 2 weeks will be the easiest time to qualify for this event. Why? because there is only 2 weeks before the monthly tourny that sends 5 players to the final 27 main event. Every other monthly tounry has 4 weeks so the round 3 tourny will be twice as big. The monthly tourny on August 6th will only have 480 players with 5 seats up for grabs. All the others will have 960 players. So try to quaify right away.

Anyone know if being 19 would limit me at all? I didn't see anything on the site...
tallnystudnt -
Dont think so.. If you look at the round 2 that is on the list now, they will qualify 320 insted of 240.
-
Fake Id. and 1700 people first 2mins.. crazy.
-
We may just hit 10k people. It will be like a party poker freeroll, I feel bad for the good players, even the best will have a hard time navigating this. You'll have to get extremely lucky and suck out alot.. oh wait just like the real moneymaker... now I get it...
-
I don't know if I want to play this first one anymore.. almost 9K ppl now.. This will take longer than last night's pokerstars million. I hope the blinds go WAY past the 50K/100K limit. This is gonna be double the stars million in chips in play. Uhmm.. I guess I'll see you guys tomorrow.
edit: capped at 200K/400K with 20K ante.. see you guys there. -
It will be 10k everyday.. anyone selling rabbit's feet?
-
yea i'm doing it for fun, i'll just use FPPs later.
and not NEARLY as much chips as I thought. 1500 starting instead of more in the stars Mil.
But still.. alot.... -
True but only 10fpps will still keep the numbers high.
-
Hmm, oh wells, play money players will go all in every hand.. and I will make a huge stack early...
(**not all play money players suck, i know) -
keep thinking that, apparently play money people think 94 suited and 72 os are the nuts, and my pocket aces couldn't hold up.
-
10FPP Is low enough so that the money players get pretty much all the chances they want. Gonna sit out on this for a week then start playing. Post here how u guys do!
-
I think the fields will thin dramatically... once all of the play money idiots are gone...
Notice how every stars freeroll has 10k people... but the .10 turbo's only have about 2k...
And this is the greatest promotion ever.
And to the guy who was wondering about being 19, the PCA is an 18+ event so you, and me, are golden. This is what i've been waiting for =) -
i just won the damn thing. it was 9,999 play money players and me. they all went all in every hand during the first two levels of blinds.. finally, it was me heads up with 1300 chips vs. a donk with 149K but since blinds were low I just outplayed him.
