  1. wow.

I wont even give any acutal poker thought into this post, but looking at all of these posts just show me what donkeys are out there.

Half of the posts are "experts" trying to explain what a "stop and go" is.

One and only one of you grasped the concept of a stop and go, so if you have no idea what one is, or how to use it properly, then dont say anything.

ps. Ape i was refering to you as the "one"

  14. (that other post was meant for the AAAA7 board with KJ vs. 22)

Also, that ACMasterpiece guy clearly wins, with his value bet of 44 getting called by 33 on the J 6 2 6 J board. That is truly hilarious.

  17. correct me if I'm wrong...Omaholic this is NOT a stop n go and rather a TERRRIBLE, simply call of an all in by you, PREFLOP with K6. Stop n go like others said is a move used AFTER the flop, you called an all in pre for 20ish% of your stack with K6....THAT is what is terrible about this post, you just got lucky other guy had best possible hand for you, Q6.

This one makes me think, I mean, sure it is a bad play by him but right now he has from what I can see to be about 70%-75% of his stack in the middle. he re-raises your raise preflop, and then calls YOUR third raise. You check to him on the flop, and he bets that board...... What exactly did you put him on here? I mean, ya sure, his call is questionable, even though he basically HAD to call after how much he had put into the pot. But what did you put him on to make a move here? You have almost NO fold equity on the river.

  21. I was just playing a tourny at Bodog. I had a decent stack, and raised it up with 44, got 1 caller, the flop comes 88A rainbow, I know this dude doesnt have an ace so I raise his post flop bet putting him all in, he calls with Q7 off suit, and hits a 7 on the turn....lol, pretty horrible call there!!!!
  22. jdro, you keep posting the same thing asking to be corrected if you're wrong. Well i sorry to inform you but you are wrong. No one was all in pre-flop.
  23. Nope definate stop n go. He called a raise out've position with the intention of pushing the flop.

  24. you just explained exactly what a stop and go is, and what the point of it is, and then tried to reason that it wasn't a stop and go......please open your poker dictionary to the "S" section for christ's sake.

The whole point of a true stop and go is calling a significant portion of your chips preflop, in order to make an all in push on the flop about equal to the size of the pot or so, to make it a legitimate bet that can have fold equity. Preflop there I have no fold equity because he's going to be getting too good odds to call with too many hands.

  26. Namni, pushing all in immediately can be a tell at low stakes. Make it appear like you are at least considering the flop before you push.
