In about 8 1/2 hours Florida poker will finally become uncapped!!! No more $100 max buy-in in cash games!!! Weeeeee!!! I (and a lot of P5ers) have been waiting years for this day.
I won't be able to play until Friday and will probably be playing at Daytona Kennel Club because of all the race fans being in town for the weekend.
Where is everyone playing this tonight? this weekend? I would be interested to hear trip reports from the different rooms - how the games are, how clueless/well informed the staff of the different rooms are, how the dealers are handling the changes, etc. -
Playing at Hard Rock Hollywood in 2 weeks... hopefully driving down to Tampa or Ocala next week 1 night... GLGL
-
i want to go to daytona this weekend but cant so ill be in the orangepark room in jax
-
Probably be at Ocala since it is the closes one for me.
-
ill give a trip report after the weekend. going to tampa hardrock tonight, possibly down to sarasota before sunday. and then to my closest room in ocala on monday. will be playing 1-2 or 1-3nl and also any plo games of 1-2.
-
I might check out the new Daytona room.. I haven't bee there in a few years, I heard they remodeled it and all.. Anyone know how is looks and is it still filled with 50+ 80 year old veterans lol
-
daytona has the cleanest atmosphere to play in with the new room. just wish it was 24 hours. but its better than any other non casino ive been to.
-
its a new dogtrack in a differ place only like a mile away..its allll new everything and its nice.... also @ archie same for me
-
So its not like right on the right anymore? I guess I'll have to look em up and head over there...
I'll be there this weekend. I'll sign on and see if anyone wants to grab a beer when the sessions over. -
I played at the Seminole Creek tonight. They had 3 5-10 tables, 1 10-20, 0 2-5 tables, and im not sure how many 1-2 nlhe tables. My table (5-10)played pretty normal: one overly aggressive player, one very loose calling station, and the rest a combination of close to ABC poker. I asked one of the guys how the 10-20 played and he said it was pretty tight.

Going to St Johns at 10 am. St Johns and Orange Park in Jacksonville still haven't released what limits they are spreading.
I'm more of a tournament player but SJ & OP's touranment schedules are very poor so I'll be grinding the 1/2 tables. I hope the max is $300 and not $200.
I like the new hours though and won't have to worry about getting paid out like I do at the home games around town. -
toasting in an epic bread
-
played at hardrock lastnight 1-3 and 1-2 was a joke but the 2-5 was crazy good bought in for $300 and cashed out for $955 in 3 1/2 hrs brag obv lol gonna play at daytona tonight let u know if its juicy

My Mom lives 5 minutes from St Johns, but I still haven't played there. Can you let me know the max buy-ins on the 2/5 and 5/10? Also, how many games you see running? Thanks

You guys travel from Orlando for these games? I'm from Jax and haven't been there for awhile. Wanting to start grinding there but what cash games would equal to 26-52$ 90s and 75$ 45 mans? Last time I went it was short stacked and 2/5 LAG was killing it. He'd raise to 15-20 pre and shove the 80 in on the flop. He built his stack fairly quickly this way then left. Not having short stacks I guess this strategy would change? The players there are mostly older idiots who most likely will never adjust to this. So do you think this will still be optimal?

What kind of hourly wage do you expect from soft tables at 1/2 2/5 5/10? How many of you grind majority live > online and how many are planning on making the switch? Let me know (In PM) how hard you guys are crushing it. -
The isle in Pompano blew up at midnite last nite. 2 5-10 NLHE $500-$1500 opened at midnite with a list. 2-5 PLO and three 2-5 NLHE $200-$500. Today should be busier.Opened for 80 Hours straight for the 4th of July weekend.

I'm goin on Monday into Tuesday overnight hours to HRock in Tampa.. Probably play 1/3 or maybe some 2/5. Def gonna hop in some PLO games too. Hopefully the games are goooooot
-
so far I believe the max on 2/5 is 500 and 5/10 is 1000. Looked like they had a few 2/5 games going. That will probably be the main game.

Mattg, they ran a 15/30 game up her in jax, minimum 500 (LOL) max $3000 and it was on a timed raked of $9 per 1/2 hr. I believe they started a interest list for 25/50, 5k max
I just got back from grinding 2/2. nitty at first but looser players came in throughout the day, only won $50 after being in for $400. Not sure if I wanna try 2/5 tomorrow but 2/2 deepstack can be fun. All day I just isolated limpers and cbet flops, like clockwork. -
Awesome!!! I'm heading there around 3-4 pm today. Should be crazy tonight with all the race fans in town.

Ran across this spreadsheet showing the limits offered at different rooms around FL. -
OH NO!!!! This is bad for me now. I'll b in south beach drunk and will be looking to play cards, not a good look!!!...DAMN you FLORIDA!!! hahaha!
-
The Hollywood Hard Rock should have the biggest games running in the state. They will definitely have 25/50nl and will prob run 50/100nl quite often.

LOL Florida poker is fucking rigged. Those bastards still call 350 bones on 6 high flush draws with one card to come. I really do not mind that they are doing it but the bastards hit on me every fucking hand. Holy Shit FL poker just got expensive when you run as bad as I did. If I could win an 80/20 or a 70/30 I could have cleard 3 grand easy playing 2/5 in Ocala. The 5/10 game in Ocala broke early because they said it was getting to exspensive for some of the ballers. Then we went to Hardrock in Tampa, the 2/5 there was pretty tight actually but it was 6 AM and my table was filled with some decent players only a couple people spewing. I will be back next weekend though it was way to good to not be back.

Edited By: cmitch Jul 2nd, 2010 at 07:22 PMSeriously?!? Go there this weekend and see. I haven't been there in a while (live in Orlando), but I'm pretty sure they have a separate room for the high limit games now.Originally Posted by chaz78
