The new House plan for non-Indian gaming establishments would raise the buy in for no-limit hold 'em games from $100 to $1,000 and increase the max bet in limit games from $5 to $50.
That sucks..... -
umm.... when will this take place

Another article about this with links to other articles about this, and a poll.

I know its stupid to have the 100 max on any of these games, but I think a lot of people that aren't from FL realize that you can rebuy as much as you like when you're at the table. Or at least we can in Jax.
-
Well, you can rebuy up to $100 ($100 minus whatever is in front of you). So if you have $20, you can rebuy $80.

don't quote me on this, but i think what he means is that you can get away with adding to your stack, since i have done this at multiple casinos in south florida, you just buy 100 in red, and like 500 in green, sit with 50 of each, and then sneakily add random chips to your stack. i have gone from 150 to 500 on multiple occasions without winning a pot

Unless one of those 60 yr old bitches see what your doing. What these fuckers do in O.P. when they catch on and start crying to the floor. The 100 bi blows. A great day when they pass the new law for live players in FL

The good thing that I took from the articles are both the Senate and House have common ground on raising the buyins for poker. The Senate wants high-stakes, while the House wants 1000$ max buyin, which is still a huge boost. Only if they can come to an agreement on this issue aside from the overall gaming issue they are discussing, it might allow for higher buyins sooner than later.
