  2. fold pre
  3. fold pre.... but as played i think you might have been able to get awaY FROM IT on the turn. 88 is a major possibility as is kq. he also might suck and have kj or jq there or maybe be semi bluffing with j 10. so actually i dont think you can get away on the turn. but folding pre elinates these spots

  4. Fold pre??? Why??? He's in the small blind with a suited silly hand...looks more or less like a cooler...many times villian will show K9+ here with the call...I think you played this hand well, and it just an unlucky outcome...

edit: I like the check on the turn, since it does look like a blank, unfortunetly your trap didn't work since you didn't have the best hand....
  5. Why did you check-raise the turn? Only a better hand is calling. I lead turn, then evaluate from there.

Opponents Range on Flop: KQ, KJ, KT, QJ, JT, 33

So 8 on the turn in my mind is a blank.

Lead 1800 here. If raised, most likely KQ or 33. KJ, KT, JT and QJ would most likely just call, if not fold, so fold to raise on turn.

  6. Obv I thought I was ahead....This is why I played the hand the way I did...

    1) preflop b/c they were suited and pot odds were good
    2) I bet the flop hoping someone with a k9, kj, j10, may reraise
3)I check the turn to show weakness and induce a bluff or bet from villan
    4) b/c I beleieved he was either pot commited or would fold

  7. 1. Ok, its not terrible, but not great.

    2. The flop bet is good, there are draws and someone with a K might come along.

    3. I think it is better to lead. If he checks behind and a 9 or K comes, it hurts you. Your check-raise turned your hand into a bluff. It allows him to play perfectly, call when ahead, fold when behind or on a draw.

    4. Maybe at the time you though he was pot committed, but it looks like there is plenty of fold equity.
