i would smooth call, his line looks a lot like 44 here, and i don't think reraising has much value here
-
I dont play cash online but this seems like a huge overbet... Pots $85 and he pumps it to $180? He either has a set, KJ or is bluffing... I dont see any reason to overbet the boat... AQ, KQ possible here...
I'd call just for info... -
is villain really open limping AQ or KQ?...i dunno about that one
-
Q 10 makes sense too.. people dont always raise with AQ or KQ....
-
Think about what hands are going to call your river reraise. None that you beat! Just smooth call. If he's bluffing he's not giving you anymore chips, if he has a Jack he's not calling, the only hand that he could possibly have that can pay you off is QT.
Smooth Call. -
He prop just has the queen here. 44 should be re-raising pre-flop for set value, and QJ or JJ should be raising for value pre. With that said you still have just to just smooth call, can't raise because than anything he does besides folding means you're beat.
-
You cannot raise here. Only a bad player calls w/ worse. He's either bluffing or he really slowplayed a QJ to death here. Either way, a raise gets u nowhere.
-
i would reraise. the only hand i'm worried about is q-j. k-q or a-q are very likely here. whatever he has, he obviously slowplayed it. if he has 4-4, i lose my money. if you had 55 and the river was a 5 would your river action be different?
-
Thank you to everyone who confirmed my stupidity....basically a zero sum play on my part. Not that it matters, but he had Quad Q's. Dumb on my part...
-
it does depend on your opponent. i wouldn't say reraising is always wrong, but only get value about a bad player.. and it is a more risky line.
lesson learned anyway.
and it's still like brunson says.. never go broke in an unraised pot.
