Also, now that I've won, I feel that I need to be the official P5 mascot on Fleetstreet (think phillie phanatic ),.

If this is not possible, I demand Dan's opinion on Pete Rose once and for all.

    Congrats Slippy! Nice win!

You deserve Dan's opinion on Pete Rose, the Phillies, and on Pete Rose when he played for the Phillies.

I don't know how I could make this any clearer than I have, but I'll try.

Fleet Street Games DOES NOT, repeat DOES NOT, tax your winnings. I am not sure what part of that is unclear.

Like any other US entity that awards prizes, we are required by federal law and IRS regulations to report any amount you win in excess of $600 (total calendar year winnings). In the RARE case that you are subject to backup withholding, we are required to withhold 28% of any winnings in excess of $5,000 annually. You would normally only be subject to backup withholding if you have, in the past, supplied an invalid SSN to the IRS or refused to supply a SSN. Click here for a link to the IRS site reference. Note that FSG winnings are not reported on a W-2G (Gambling Winnings) but on a 1099 (they are technically contest winnings).

When you win any amount of money, anywhere, it's subject to Federal and state (if applicable) tax. Whether or not you report it is up to you. Note also that, even if we do backup withholding, you STILL have to report it.

  4. I've filed my documents and even cashed out already. What I wanna say is, a lot of poker sites out there are free, however, you wanna charge $19.99 a month $9.99 a week. That is really steep and a big rip off. I can understand $2 a week or $5 a month but $20, c'mon man.
