Okay, game is 20/40 O8 and then this hand comes up....
on the river there are 3 of us. the board is Q886K with 3 spades. I table my As7x7x5x the the other played mucks his hands and the last player flips up his cards and starts walking away(he was all in). The Dealer mucks the players cards and starts moving the pot towards me, at this point another player not in the hand states he saw the guy who put his hand face up have the AsJs, the dealer who had already mucked that players hand now states that she saw he had a flush....ummmm????? At that point the 2nd player in the hand who mucked says he didn't see the other players flush, I also didn't see it but to be fair I didn't look too closely as he flipped them up and started walking away so there was no real reason to. Floor comes over, gets the story and says if dealer says she saw the flush then he gets the pot, at this point my hand is the only hand face up and I point out that my hand HAS THE As in it. Obv making it impossible for him to have the AsJs, the floor then awards the pot to the player and walks away while I am trying to argue my point to her. About 30 min later floor supervisor comes over as I requested and says he can't overrule the original decision. While he is over listening to me we are 8 handed and pretty much everyone is telling him they can't see how it is ever the right decision, he doesn't care and just keeps saying "I mean" followed by random I can't do anythings. My only point to this is these crazy floor rulings are crazy this yea, anyone else have anything this crazy happen? One more for the road, 1500 WSOP event blinds 1/2 25 ante. We have been 100/200 for 1 hour 40 min at this point (1 round without the ante and 40 more min with the ante) I am SB and Cathy Liebert is the BB. About 5 min before I got her to stack off for 100 BB with 66 pre because she thought I was crazy, anyways she hits a 6 vs JJ and seems mad at me for getting her to stack off. All the antes are in the middle and there are 3 black chips in front of her, dealer looks at me and says 100 SB, I reach over and slide 1 chip over, Liebert then says it is her chip. She had been putting up 200 for almost 2 hours, then all of a sudden decided to put 300 up??? Obv floor is called over and his opinion is that it is more likely that she randomly put up 3 chips opposed to both of us putting up our regular blinds and mine rolling over to the left a little. After he rules I ask him why he thinks it is more likely that she would spontaneously put up 3 chips opposed to us both putting up our blinds. Is it just me or are the ruling much much worse this year? On a side note, if you read this Cathy Liebert...owning more then 1 pair of purple velor track pants is the way to go in life. PZ -
I laughed pretty hard at the Kathy Liebert comment about you being crazy and therefore stacking off with 66. I love when people combat "crazy" players by stacking off with absurd hands.
And yes the O8 hand was complete and total bullshit the floor had absolutely no right to make that ruling with your face up hand having one of the "alleged" cards in it. The floor should ask the table their thoughts when they are making "gray area" rulings because the table knows best what happened and is impartial for the most part. Shitty. -
In the first hand the player who voluntarily mucked his hand his hand is dead. The other player who turned his hand up then walked away, his hand is live (because he turned it face up) until the dealer mucks it then it is dead. "Player must protect their hand!!!" However, I have seen floors rule that a player who turned his hand face up should not be penalized for the dealer mucking and their hand was then retrieved from the muck and then the pot was given to the winners. If floor awarded the pot to that player without even making an effort to retreive his hand, that is a shit ruling. Like I said, I have seen this go both ways in the interest of awarding the pot to the player with the best hand. IMO the single rule that should take precedance is: "Player must protect his hand at all times." Situations
like these are the exact reason that became a rule in most casinos in the first place. therefore, IMO bad ruling!!! -
I was playing a $65 rebuy tonurney at Running Aces a few weeks ago
I am first to act, I look down to JJ and think anext guy to act bout how much to raise, the next 2 players to my left fold, I throw 400 chips out there and says out loud "rasie" and throws out 300 chips. I tell him he has to make it 800 and he calls the floor claiming he didnt see my rasie cuz the other players acted out of turn. I tell him he still has to make it 800. Floor rules he only has to call the 400.
Not that bad but IMO still a wrong rulling -
Where was the 08 hand played at? The Cathy Liebert hand is redic but your never gonna win that argument cause she is so redic tight with all WSOP staff its absurd.

The O8 hand is unreal. If the person in question had mucked cards and yours stayed face up the whole time with the ace of spades in it, what the hell? How can a floor person make such a decision? Sorry about your luck, man.
