I always lean towards check/folding here. What do you do? Early in a $12 180-turbo, no reads -
You raised representing a real hand. How do you not bet half the pot with this flop? Do you really think your 88 is behind here that you would check fold? Then why raise this hand. MOST of the time, the flop will have over cards so either limp to set mine or bet to win the pot. But a check fold is WAY too weak and once others pick up on this, you will be outplayed every time.

Yup, agree with that. Guess I over-thought the fact I was flatted twice by players IP on me.

That's like one of the most harmless flop you could have wished for. Definite C-bet, and not a small one. I'd fire about 270 in 360.

Good raise pre, shows you got something and a bet on the flop is not air. This is a good flop. Only one over, and with the pair, there are only 2 other 10s out there. Bet like it's yours and take it down--pot-size bet so it's harder to come over the top

so you bet half the pot and you get raised what do you do then? or you bet, he flats and a face card peels the turn then what do you do?
-
If he reraises, you must go on instinct and reads

If he flats and face card comes, continue betting, same amount as on flop, and if he flats, check/fold turn. If he raises, I think then you have to fold. He could have : hit the 10; had a disguised overpair; played badly and hit the turn; or bluffed well in which case you must give it up. -
Most deff C bet. That is a great flop for your hand and horrible flops for Abig , 2 broadways or suited connectors(there are two clubs but the boards paired) which could all be hands that flat you pre. Also smaller pairs are usually just set mining and will be done a lot of the time if you show some strength post flop. If you get raised or flatted it could be a lot of things. Obviously a 10 or pocket 4s but a re-raise could be a smaller pair trying to find out where he's at and look you up in case you have AK and air balled the flop. Always a weird spot when you feel you're ahead and you get re-popped. Go with your read and if you don't feel you have a solid read on the player just muck it... blinds are only 15-30 and you'll have plenty of other spots. If he flats your C bet ..i'd fire one more time. A lot of players will float a board like that and try to bluff you off on the turn. If he calls the turn ...check folding isn't terrible ..check calling depending on the turn and river cards isn't too bad either. You could also put out a blocking bet on the river so even if you're beat you dictate how much you lose. If he raises the turn or river insta-snap-auto-as fast as you can fold.
