  1. This hand took place in a live $2/$5 cash game at the Bellagio.

Picked-up Qs9s in the bb ($900 deep) and checked behind the b+5, b+3 and bu limpers (the sb folded). Each of my opps had around 100bb. The flop came KhJhTh and it was my turn to act.

    Check or bet?

The only comment I will make bc this forum focuses primarily on on-line play is that in these loose live games, any one who touched this flop isn't going to fold to a pot sized bet.
  2. bet
  3. Well, a few things that I notice immediately:

That's not the nut straight.. The nuts would be the AhQh...

You have $22 in the middle when you check.
You may have flopped a straight, but you have to worry about a potential flush. Any of the three limpers could hold a number of hands, any heart or piece of that board and you're right in assuming they wouldn't fold to a pot sized bet.

OOP, I'd probably check. Though argument can easily be made to bet and see where you stand. I'm not sure with a board like that I would increase the pot size just to have a heart fall or someone pick up the ace-high straight.
  4. Correct me if I am wrong but wouldnt an AQ hand be the nut straight?

    Also bet all day long!
  5. Oops! You're all quite right. 2nd nut str8.

  6. lead out

  7. I'd bet like $18 and take it from there. I'm struggling to think what id do if someone raised me, id guess it would depend on reads etc
  8. def bet, i mean u floped a str8 but it s a ugly board for u...
what happened in the hand anyway??

  9. betting

definitely not this.... start out by betting and go from there

  11. Fire until the board pairs or another heart hits. Re-evaluate if you get raised/see a gross turn or river.
  12. fire and get ready to get re popped. fold and take it or call and pray
