    hmm, why you bet on river if you are not getting it in? You are turning your straight into a bluff if you dont call. Easy call imo.

    I think you have to call now because of your lead on the riv, and especially cuz you still have a nice stack when you lose.

    I am not turning my straight into a bluff because I was valuebetting since the chances he has a boat are slim, and if I call I obv still have a big stak but that doesnt matter, its still a good amount of chips to call. Plz think befnore you post your comment. No body folds here?

    worst river bet ever, worst fold ever if u make that bet. ck call that early in a tournament woulda been better or at least a 1400ish lead on the river

    villian followed up with a bet on the flop and then checked behind you on the turn, so a check call on the river after he hit his strait is not an option -- theres no way to know that he will bet. But as everyone is going to tell you, this river bet is ridiculous. A smaller bet would allow you to get away from the hand if you needed to. I would bet about 1800-2000. The pot is only 2800, why overcommit to the hand for the rest of your chips?

    why would u even waste ur time to post a hand and then redicule everyones comments on their thoughts of the hand? just a complete waste of time. ur better off showing the hand to ur mom and asking her opinion.

    becauseeeee.....no one is giving reasons for their opinions.....they just say yeah you should def check call there...ummm....yeah but why?.....I over bet river cuz it seems so unlikely I have the straight there...obv trying to get max value, then he shoves, I mean, he cant have anything other than a boat.....I really think folding is right...I do accept opinions but with reasoning behind it

    I hate being on his side, but you are missing his point. When he valuebets the chance he has a boat is slim, BUT when he gets reraised, the opponent cant have anything other than a boat.
