folded kk preflop

    Only the 2nd time I've folded kk preflop. I think it has to do with part of the fact that 5 out of the last 6 times that i've had kk on full tilt I've run into aa, and here I just had a very strong feeling he had exactly AA. Your thoughts?

    If you want to fold KK go ahead but you shouldn't tell everybody that you just folded KK.

    why not i don't think it's a play that makes me look weak. i know how it makes me look and i can use that however i want.

    folding and saying you folded KK is bad IMO. the only person it impresses is the villian IF he has AA. to everyone else it tells them that they can resteal on you all day.

    as long as you open up your calling range when someone 3 bets you, it can be profitable

    Villian had not played a single hand at the table since he had been there for a few orbits. FWIW, villain said he had AA after the hand and it seemed like he was telling the truth.

    acnownzu02: arent u supposed to never fold KK preflop

    To the people saying this gives me a weak image. Table image is whatever you make of it. If people think you are weak are giving you no credit then you can use that to your advantage. Having a certain table image is only a disadvantage if you make it one. You can use any table image to your advantage as long as you know what your image is and exploit it correctly. I think exploiting table image is one of the more difficult things to do, and also one of the things that the best MTT players do better than anyone else.

    I've folded KK once, face up in last year's main event to Lee Kort facing 2 all ins in front... he busted a guy that had AKs with his AA... if anything, my table was scared shitless of me afterwords and I was able to accumulate nicely to end the day

    I really did have AA that hand and was surprised you folded KK. I ended up finishing 4th. :(

    Everytime I have KK I lose to 84 off... I should start open folding that shit.

    i laid down king twice on same table midway through big tourny locally and got so much respect from table i ran over it until it broke and i bubbled

    Don't you know? Someone ALWAYS has AA when you get dealt KK on Full Tilt.
