Id like to hear some thoughts on this fold...the only real read i have on him is he 3bet me one time from an lp steal spot. Other than that hes been solid TAG, and the 4bet here was instant

he's 4betting from the cutoff this could be something like QQs+/AQs+. I'd expect him to 4bet all in there with those hands since 3-betting from the hijack can be a resteal. If he's a competent player that may have been a borderline lay down, but with your stack and those blinds I'm sure you can find a better spot to chip up in where you don't have to showdown.

This is wrong don't listen. You can never ever ever fold here. You only have to call 43k more into 107k, laying you 2.5 to 1 to call. This means you only need 28% equity vs his shoving range to profitably call. AK is better than that vs ALL hand ranges, even if he is only shoving qq+ there.

More importantly, 3bet folding esp. 40bb deep is beyond horrible. u should already have anticipated a shove and know how ur reacting to that when u re-raise. If u dont wanna call a 4 bet, perhaps u shouldnt be 3betting in that situation. However, in this hand, your 3bet was good and should be followed by calling any shove. -
Terrible fold. You're committed. 43k more into 105k = insta-call.
-
Wow dont fold here brah. Insta snap call win race vs QQ
-
when we calc the ranges here do we add in ranges for the original opener?
-
you should add in ranges for the original raiser unless he's the type to raise fold that stack size a lot.
-
hey MT....how are you coming up with 28%? Sorry to ask such a novice question, but I am still learning. Thanks.
