folding QQ 3 hands from the bubble in an MTT

    i wanna know if my fold of QQ was as bad as all these guys on neverbeg said that it was. i was low on cash, so i wanted to make sure i didnt miss out on the $12. heres the link to the post on that other site where this one guy was making fun of the way i played the hand.

    Well, I agree with them. I see little reason to fold here. I know it's a free role, so getting any money out of it is great, but still. I don't want to diss the money, it isn't that it's $12. It's a lower level payout. What are the top 3 payouts?

    I'm assuming they are around $100 or so. Would you rather have a crack at that money (for your time invested), or crawl into the money and leave with your $12. If you would rather have your $12, then fold. But, you can only make that fold if your guaranteed to make the money if you fold. If one or 2 people win a hand and now your in trouble of bubbling, then you have to push that hand. You can't fold there and not get the money.

    You should be playing in a tournament to win. All the money is located in the top three and that should be where your goal is to finish. To fold a monster hand like Q's on the bubble to ensure yourself a $12 pay day is a big blunder in the game. Look at all the good solid tournament player, you don't see them stalling around the bubble to make sure they cash, but rather you seem them become more aggressive to pick up chips from those who are. By doing so they can accumulate chips and give themselves a better chance to win the tournament.

    if that's what you want to do then it's ok. you have to be true to your own self.

    usually i push on the bubble with jj / qq, but more times that i'd like i get called by bigstack with a7 or a-rag and he hits the ace and i'm the bubbledog.
