While playing a HU match today I moved in on the turn with 2 pair on the turn. My opponent took her time typing in "bad timing" before calling. So here I am thinking shes taking her time making a decision while she is just informing me that she 100% guarantees im behind in the hand. Why cant people just call and let the cards do the talking...I dont understand. Naturally I flipped out. Oh yes, I rivered a full house and still went on to tell my opponent how I truly felt. Am I just some psycho? Or do I have a legit reason to be pissed? Maybe I'm just searching too hard for reasons to flip out on people...let me know please.

I agree with you LL2, the smart ass comment when you think you have someone dominated when they move in on you is slow rolling and low class. If they played poker like it was there job, they would realize that that behavior just wont work for them.
-
"bad timing" must be a popular phrase for asswipes to say while slow rolling .... same type of situation happened to me not long ago on stars .....
after reaming this idiot about the classlessness of slow rolling ... their only reply was .... "whats slow rolling?" -
LL2.....you should have simply said to them "Isnt karma a bitch?"
Im glad they got what they deserved, half these online punks would get thier teeth handed to them in a plastic bag as they left the cardroom if they slowrolled live. -
people that do that need to die.

i once just insta called an all in and was bashed by a guy saying
you didnt even think
you didnt even think
f beanie and fast playing slowrollers =] -
This just happened to me today on pokerstars as well. SNG 4 people left and this dude and I are heads up with me raising preflop on the button he's in the BB with about 350 chips more then me 50/100 blinds. we check the flop and the turn puts a 3 hearts on the board while giving me 2 pair. Since it's bubble time I pause and then go all in, thinking he's going to think I'm trying to steal with the A of hearts (5 dollar SNG, people fall for this crap). He says "bad timing" and calls after he LETS THE TIME GO TO 10 secs. I river a fullhouse. Me being the guy that I am, let it roll of my back, but he can't get over it and is BERATING me up and down. next hand I have AK and he has AQ in the SB I smooth call to see the flop of A A 5, he goes all in and he bubbles out. LOL, JUSTICE.
IT GETS BETTER....he then follows me around to the other tables I'm playing on as a railbird talking smack. I, seeing easy money, invite him to another SNG table so he can "show me his skills." He comes to one and, get this, I bust him out by having top pair and him betting into me and then me catching a flush and him 2 pair on the river in which I put him all in:) This was the first hand...he's now my favorite player:) -
What I hate also is when I make a bet on the river, especially when I'm bluffing, and my opponent acts like they're not going to call by saying something like, "Damn, I knew you were on the flush draw," and then they call anyway, after taking the maximum time allowed, and win with top pair or whatever they had. That by itself isn't so bad, but usually it's done by complete donkeys who just can never get away from a hand, and then after they win they act all shocked. They also usually type extremely slow, and waiting to see if your bluff gets called is a time you want to be as short as possible! I've almost never played live, but I imagine that would be a million times harder to wait for, of course, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much.

Nah.
It's trash talk, and disrespectful, but not slowrolling. Slowrolling is doing something, usually waiting a long time to call (or to flip over your cards in live games/tournaments), to make your opponent believe that he/she is ahead in the hand when in fact you know that you are. If the opponent went into their time bank before they typed it in and called, then that was prob slowrolling, bu they prob were just trying to type in "bad timing" before they called. -
VVVVVVVVVVNH.....of course Bartley is correct yet again.
-
I just want to reiterate that I in no way condone said behavior and think the guy was a scumbag for doing it. It just wasn't slowrolling.
Another thing I've noticed that used to make me mad is in live play, people hesitating to extreme to flip their cards over when they are allin before the river. I used to get super pissed and think they were slowrolling me, but I now know that they are just inexperienced players and are deathly afraid of showing their hand and having it be the wrong time or something like that and having it "killed". -
I am lost. Why did you flip out? Because you thought she was taking her time and were apparently mistaken? She obviously found it worth commenting that the timing of your move in was bad, as the poker gods tend to have a sense of humor about that sort of thing. Yes she didnt HAVE to say that, but she did, so who cares? You should be more interested in how you could have avoided getting all your money in drawing to 4 outs. To me, energy spent getting angry at how people behave is energy wasted.

The other day I'm playing a 210+15 turbo on stars. There is 4 of us left and a guy moves all in from 1st position. Dariominieri is in the BB and lets the clock tick almost all the way down before saying "I have to call" and calling with AA. What a dick...
