Later this week, we'll be interviewing Cake Poker Poker Room Manager Lee Jones, using questions/feedback posted exclusively in this thread. If you have a suggestion for Cake Poker or Lee, please post it here, and we will do our best to address it in the interview.
Thank you for your participation, and thanks to Lee for taking the time to field feedback from PocketFivers.
Check out Lee Jones' Answers to Your Questions. -
1. Please fix the payout structures to pay only the top 10% of the field. Alot of the tournaments, expecially the low/mid stakes one pay out as much as 25% of the field sometimes which is absurd.
2. Fix your tables so when shrunk down to the min size, they are the same size as stars and FTP's tables. Multitabling on the two major sites makes it almost impossible to throw in some Cake tournies for this exact reason, the tables just don't fit. This WILL bring more people to the site as I can't imagine I'm the only one who avoids your site for only this reason.
Neither of these are questions but I promise this thread will fill with comments exactly like mine. Other than that, I like the site, especially because its the only one giving me rakeback. -
Mid stakes freezouts from 3pm-10pm for east coast players.
Schedule at this time is really weak.
More $30-50 tournies plz -
Are there any plans to make the network move from 10 person tables to 9 person tables?
Will the hand history feature be redesigned more like stars and FTP, because the one you currently use is slightly better than Bodog, aka it's terrible.
Any chance the daytime MTT schedule (1-5pm) can get a facelift? -
Cake Poker definately needs some sort of tournament series. Anything in the works? I'm sure the p5 community can help set one up.
-
I agree with everything stated here, especially #2.

i have a playersonly account but dont play there anymore and want to join cake. can i still get rakeback?
-
The table resizing is obviously a huge issue, but I'm sure that will be high on cake's agenda.
Do you have plans to market yourselves better outside of North America?
Obviously traffic dictates what tournaments you can put on at what times, but at the moment I don't play on Cake on weekdays because the mid/high stakes tournament schedule is very thin from 1pm EST - 5pm EST which is when i do most of my registering. -
Lee Jones has taken the time to address a few of these questions. Here's a link to his responses:

Will Cake ever lower the minimum on the checks they issue?
-
Can you please get rid of the hand for hand for every SINGLE payout level? This actually hurts the players more than prevents stalling. Actually, stalling still happens so if one table is slow the rest are punished by fewer hands in that particular level.
I just don't see why playing hand for hand with 21 players left makes any sense. In most tourneys you are paying for only a couple dollars in pay difference.
You should still have hand for hand for the money and final table bubble obviously.
Thanks.
