Foxwoods bad beat jackpot

    So im at foxwoods last night and i hear a roar from about three tables away.....the table hit the badbeat jackpot for $450,000. The loser of the hand is an old reg who gets 50 percent....the table chops up 25 percent.....and the winner of the hands happens to be a girl that turns out to underage one month shy of her 21st.....not only does she not get the roughly 100 thousand dollers for having the winning hand in the jackpot...they confiscate her 1100 on the table and from what i hear she got arrested.....ouch

    that sucks huge. i was gonna be sick if you said they voided the jackpot for everyone because of the minors involvement.

    Because if you're under 21 you are NOT responsible enough to gamble with your own money! However, if you would like to join the military and go die for a cause that you may not even believe in, you are quite responsible enough to make that decision.

    wouldnt happen cuz thats there fault for letting her play..so obv law people sue for even more then jackpot..durrr

    It was even worse than that in my day. You were REQUIRED BY LAW (draft) to 'go die for a cause' once you hit 18.

    weird i was at foxwoods tuesday and the sign said no badbeat jackpot while the foxwoods poker classic was going on.

    was this only for the tourney bad beat jackpot? I believe they have a seperate one for cash games, I was there for a few hours on tues night and saw a sign for the bad beat at 450k

    To make the story short... this girl is a friend of mine.. The final details are that she was arrested and was banned from Foxwoods for life... she was however allowed to walk away with her 1200 on the table. I side note and a funny story to the situation her friend who was over the age of 21 collected the chopped 25%. Then on the drive home he goes thanks for driving and handed her 40$. He collected over 5k that night.

    She was told by a state trooper that if she let this cool down for a while and waited til she was 21 and wrote a note there was a chance that she can get the life ban revoked.

    If anyone else has any questions about what happened feel free to ask and Ill answer them to the best of my knowledge

    I don't get the arrested bit. Unless, your friend showed fake ID to get the alcohol, only the server committed a criminal act.

    same thing happened to one of my best friends when we were 16 and the hard rock casino in hollywood, fl had just opened. He won the hand with qq vs AA on a AQQ board and was entitled to about $30,000 or so, the loser of the hand was supposed to get $60,000, and the rest of the table was supposed to get like 4k each or something like that. Anyway, they checked everyones IDs and he told them he had left his in the car. they let him go back to the car, and like an idiot he got his terrible, kinkos made fake ID and went back. Of course, they figured out he was underage. Not only did he not get his money, but NOONE got anything because they said it was an invalid hand because an illegal player was involved. They snuck my friend out the back, as I cant imagine what woulda happened if he had to come across the guy who was supposed to get 60k outta the whole ordeal. He was banned not only from the casino, but from the Seminole Indian Nation for life.
