Foxwoods Deep Stack 30K in chips on 5/10

    This Thursday, Foxwoods is running a Deep Stack tournament, $3000 entry fee, start with 30K in chips, 40 minute levels. It seems like it would be a great tournament if anyone shows up. Is anyone showing up, and do any of the locals up there have an educated guess as to the size of the field?

    WOW! The one i'm in at Turning Stone tomarrow for deep stack is 9k in chips and 20 min levels!

    As of yesterday there were about 50 people preregistered. The tourney director on yesterday said that they were expecting around 200-300. They expect a lot of satellite action on Wednesday. I like the big stacks and long blinds. The satellite structure I thought was great. Seemed like a good value to me if you could get in through the satellites. I enjoy deep stack play but playing the satellites yesterday I did feel as though some people were not able to make the adjustment to the big stacks with longer blind levels. It worked out well for me as I was able to get my seat for $300. I did 2 of the $150 buy ins winning the seat to the $500 then placing in top 13 for a seat to the 3k. If you are a good deep stack player, I think you will have an edge in this one.

    I am in it to table 1 seat 1 same spot I will be in as the last man standing. By the way if anyone wants in please play the sats. They are just pathetic. At my table I had a nice little old lady sweets but only raised with strong hands and calling stations. very easy to pick off with the blind so low. p.s mohegan sun has $49 room rates a hell of a lot cheaper then foxwoods $99 1 night special. anybody else at table 1 pm me and gl to all :)

    gl those playing. i tried sat'ing in last wednesday and failed. seems like a sweet tourney.

    I will be in Foxwoods, but it's my first time EVER in a casino, so I really only planned to play cash tables.

    Any with tips or insider info would greatly be appreciated
