    are there any anti virus and removal onetime scans for free on the net. Something that will actually remove the threats. Thanks any info would greatly be apprecitated

    spybot, adware, windows defender is free...go to download.com and search

    trend micro has a scanner that is good and will tell you how to get rid of any unwanted stuff, just look for free pc scan
