1. Did I do anything wrong here? Did I do ALOT wrong here? Like maybe build a pot for my opponent? Should I have shoved the turn? Folded the river? Honestly I have no clue so anyone's opinions are welcomed. Thx.

2. You did many things wrong.
(1) The bet on the flop was okay to see were you are, but it was a little to large. Don't commit so much to a flop that can hit limpers easily.
(2) You floped top pair bad kicker. Don't get to excited because you hit this on a gift flop. Remember the story about the Trogan Horse. Once you are called, slow down. Make smallish bets, unless the board becomes more scarry. Try to think what kind of hand would call you on the flop and proceed with some degree of caution. Especially, when you don't improve.
(3) On the river, when the only thing you can beat is a bluff, seriously consider folding. A push may be a bluff but you don't have much of a hand with just a pair.
(4) You bet to much and felt pot commited on a scarry board.
3. I have to disagree with your first two points completely. I have played alot of poker, I'm not "getting all excited b/c I hit this on a gift flop." LMAO That's the situation I'm asking about, about playing top pair when you get a 'gift flop' as you like to call it on the BB. Bascially you reaffirmed that the only thing I should've done differently is fold to his bet on the river so, thanks I guess. I also think I could've just not put any money in the pot at all and check folded but that line also give you zero shot to win the pot so I guess I just should've folded the river. I also could've checked the flop and bet big on the turn to try to price him out of the hand but who the hell knows.

4. I had a very similar question I posted on here not too long ago and it turns out this is just a tough situation to be in. No one has a real answer to give you. I phrased my question a little differently: What's more important, to price out draws or keep the pot small?

In my experience I think it's more important to keep the pot small in a tournament then it is to try and price the draw out. In a cash game with deep stacks I feel the opposite is true, but when you're in this position playing with a limited amount of chips were survival is more important I think it's better to let the board come out, if he hits it, he hits it. You'll know to get away from the hand. It's better to risk less money in these tough situations and wait for better situations later in the tournament...even if you sometimes fold the best hand.
