Honestly I think you should call here....you're M is a little over 4, you're 5 handed and ideally at worst you're probably 30/70 here. I can see villain shoving small to mid pairs or a lower ace in this spot; not to mention he could be trying to steal with worse from UTG. With the way the stack sizes are and the importance of building the stack for the FT, I think you should call and hope for the best.
-
Easy Call...you can fold and maybe go to FT with less than 10 bbs and push then...or
you can call..get eliminated or goto FT with more than 20 bbs and a chance to make an impact.
I would be should w/ k10-kq..suited connectors, small pairs...a rag......anyhoo...
call, if you are playing to win....fold if you are playing for a FT. -
i regret not making this call because 1 hand later someone goes out and we hit the FT. Im at 39k chips and i get moved right into the BB at the FT which had gone up to 6k, i couldnt make anything happen after that and went out in 9th. I know if i call him there i go to the FT with 100k+ chips and about 20bbs giving me a shot at first.

I think he has your AT crushed, he's range doe not start on Ax. Only hand you can be ahead of is QKs. It's a very very close one, and like a friend of mine says : Fuck close ones.
Myself, I fold here. -
snap call, cry when he flips over JJ, jump for joy when the flop comes KQJ, jump out window when board pairs obv...
but it is a really tricky spot. I think I'd have to call since the blinds are eating me alive at that point, and I'm probably 60/40ish against his range. Well worth it to chip up there heading into the FT, and if i get knocked out then that's just how it is. -
huh? I think his range here is alot bigger than you're giving credit for. They're playing 5 handed and the ratio of blinds to stack sizes is pretty substantial, loosening up shoves a good bit. OP has a M of 4, and there's no telling when the FT bubble breaks and lets him breathe a little easier....I say this is a really easy spot with him being ahead of most of the villain's range....so snap call high five monitor when ahead and win and TID one time.
