After reading the roothlus article I got to thinking about the main event. Been playing cash games exclusively at wpex for last 6 months. Online poker for 3 years. Took a downswing and been goofing with mtt's again. Won the $5000 on wpex 3 weeks ago. Biggest mtt they have. Switched up to full tilt to qualify for main event and make it first try. Also day before did well (13th) in almost 1400 person mtt. Ftops in august didn't get past 1500 people. Will this one pass 2000? Roothlus article was for stars 6000 person field, but to me it applies to lesser extent to under 2000 field. 6000 person field I would think at least 2000 are looking to double through fast given size of field. I was wondering is ftops will play out the same or will it play out old school tighter first few rounds?
