I thought I read on their webpage that everyone who made it to day two would start with 5k chips. At the end of day one there were like 131 people left and yet the final 16 have 9 people with over 1 million chips.
What happened? Do people who went out early today after making the money get a refund because they only played to get to day two thinking they would all start with 5k in chips? -

The 5,000 chips reference obviously refers to the Day 1 starting stack imo.
"The end of day one comes at the conclusion of level 17; if the money has not been reached by the end of level 17, play will continue until the money bubble has burst. Day two begins the next day at 13:00 ET (18:00 GMT). This tournament features 30 minute blind levels, and players begin with 5,000 starting chips." -

Major fail -10 on my part.
I'm one who admits mistakes and recognizes my error here. I obviously misunderstood what I read.
Thanks for the clarification.
