  1. I'm normally not very good at laydowns. On the Flop I told myself I was goona shove a blank turn card. His overbet on the turn makes me think he might be weak, just didn't know if that meant straight or two pair.

    How did I play it?

  2. Interesting hand....

His potsize bet on the flop looks like someone who protects a made hand and doesnt want you to draw on a draw heavy board. your call looks like a draw and at least the flushdraw got there on the turn. Then he pushes into someone who might just made his flush? Makes no sense to me. As played I fold, to many hands that beat me out there. I would raise on the flop to "see where you at" (1150ish), but its tough to raise a big potsize bet because one somehow gets committed to the pot.

Any previous observations on the player? Does he play draws aggressively? I would put the guy on a hand like 78, 79, or 89, a two pair or pair plus straight draw hand, 8h plus heart is a possibility aswell. I would expect a flush to valuebet though. An aggressive player might do that with a naked 9 for an oesd, expecting you to have missed the board. Since he was in the small blind he we cant exclude 45, 59, 910 all possibillities for a made straight. I would especially expect the 45 to play aggressive to protect his "idiots end straight"

Players stats would be interesting. Could just be a desperate move to get you off the hand with one off the above drawing hands. If one semibluffes out of position and gets called and the turn bricks out (thats when he had a straight draw) one might somehow feel committed to 2nd barrel....

    Is my thinking off?
