1. Seems all my good hands were coming in UTG. Has been an active table, but good PF play by most, avg post-flop play. I had been dead for a while, so probably looked sorta tight. I saw this as push or fold, no calling. Easy fold or gamble and push?

2. Its difficult to say without seeing how he acted before hand, but the first thing to strike me is that he is relatively short stacked and may be looking for the steal. I place him on A-10, A-9, A-J or some sort of pair

If I noticed he had a loose calling range, I’d be tempted to call.

edit: sorry just noticed the re-raise, I'd fold tbh, I place one of them on a Q-Q or K-K
3. $5 game makes these ugly spots, since licker could do this with midish pair or even AJ/AQ. Definitely doing it with AK (and lots of funny AA play at this level, so hard to think he has that, though he could).

That being said, I look at the your stack to the blinds. You fold here, you are beyond healthy over 33bb. You play here, you really have to beat both to be healthy, you are almost even if senorverde beats you, and you are out if licker does.

I'm with you on push/fold (not on the image, most $5 players don't pick up tight images, only loose). But, you are likely up against a pair and a weaker ace (and you could be in worse shape). Gives you 5 outs, so less than a flip, and you could be worse.

Wouldn't shock me if you fold, and they flip over AJ and a AQ, but I think given the action here, I fold.
4. Snap shove this. You're getting great odds and villian two is doing this with a fairly wide range that prolly includes 77+ AQ, AK. At these stakes, I've seen people even isolate w/ AJ KQ, KJ. Snap shove and throw you computer when the two AQ's spike a Q on the river.

Seriously tho, I'm shoving this every time at these stakes.
5. I think this is just a fold. I really would prefer to be shoving than calling w AK.

I would say Licker has a big pair and is isolating on the shorty, hence the minrereraise. Either way at least 1 of your outs is gone, if not more.

Definitely a tough spot though, esp in the heat of battle.
6. Thanks for the replys, guys.

For me, this was one of the tough hands to think through quickly. Against verde, I was ready to ship it in. When licker re-raised, I paused. Verde I put on a mid PP or AJ+, obviously ready to push given his stack. Licker's RR smacked of a very good hand to me. I put him on (quickly) JJ+, AQs+. The only hands I didn't want to see were KK or AA. Against the others I was ready to gamble, so given the ranges, I regrettably called.

verde-99

licker-AA

I hit the K on the flop but didn't improve. I still don't really know what I would do in hindsight if I had the same ranges put on these two. I guess my hope was that I would have at least a shot to hit the A to win, but against AA I was virtually dead. Based on the responses, it seems it would still be a toss-up.

Thanks again for your responses.
