unreal, i check the schedule for ftops 4 days ago and i said to myself wow, finally a halfway decent schedule. now today my friend tells me the schedule has been changed. i look at it and again, wtf, super turbos, rush, and now this multiple entry shit(which could be the worst idea of all) litters the schedule. please can these series have the dignity and prestige that they used to? or that scoop/wcoop and even uboc still uphold? this is so damn annoying. we are at atime where poker is trying to be legalized but throwing these makeshift poker games in the mix that require less and less skill arent gonna help, they will only hinder the progress of the game and the legalization of it.

so PLEASE, change the schedule back to the way it was 4 days ago, and kill this multiple entry shit.
full tilt u are trying to make extra money and lessen the integrity of the game.

FTP retardeness is another one of the reasons why this year I'll be grinding my ass on PS. I have always played about 3/4 of my schedule on FTP, but all their bad business decisions (including the huge disappointment that Black Card is) has led me to move most of my action to PS.

fwiw...the ftops schedule didn't "change" like you said...it was incomplete. if you read it, there were many event numbers that were missing. they've simply filled in the missing events.


this ftops is primed to be the best ftops ever...so whatever good players want to boycott it, i encourage them to...i for one, will be playing every event (yes...6 times each)

Same Ive had numerous problems with ftp blacard support too, trying for elite and will play on ftp under 3% of my volume. Anytime ive had asked ftp blackcard a question they just email me back that they sent to management review. Than I do not hear back or they reply to me and quote there own fucking site which obvisoulsy im aware of otherwise I would not have sent the email. / rant

Can someone please explain to me how the ftops main event went from a 3 mil guar with normal single entries allowed to a 3 mil guar with multiple entries?? I mean how do they not up the guarantee if they are going to try to pull this scam? They could literally make the main a 5 mil guar (and guar 1 mil to first ) and it would hit with this multiple entry thing

I would have to disagree with you regarding the disappointment that is the Black Card from FTP. I received my Black Card in the mail last week and was soo excited to get it ! The box it came in was sooo awesome too!

I grabbed my Black card and hit the streets of Sydney immediately. I got on the bus and flashed the Black Card to the driver and he gave me a wink and offered me the disabled seat near the front!

Next I arrived at the flashiest restaurant in town and was promptly told that they were totally booked out for the evening. Dammit I muttered. My friends and I were so upset. We were given Bollinger champagne on the house and all the wine we wished to drink. So amazing !

After our meal we decided to hit Kings Cross to find some of Sydney's most exclusive clubs. Normally I would have next to no hope of getting into the clubs, but I had a special feeling that we may get in tonight. This was my night and I had my Black Card in my pocket and nothing could stop me!

Sure enough I approached the door bitch and she snarled at me as I usually come to expect, but I was ready this time. I whipped out my Black Card and flashed it to the door bitch. Her snarl quickly turned into a cheesy smile and was invited inside with all my friends. "Welcome Mr Roach, have a great night!" she said enthusiastically. Once again we were offered free drinks in the form of cocktails and we all got drunk in one of Sydney's most exclusive clubs for free. All thanks to FTPs Black Card!

Now I don't want to go into too much detail regarding the next venue we visited, but lets just say that some of Sydney's finest ladies catered to our every need, all thanks to my prestigious FTP Black Card !!

Never underestimate the powers of the Back Card people. It truly works wonders. Keep it in your wallet and just flash it when you are in a jam or just fell like being treated a little special.

I don't get rakeback on FTP and I must admit I have been quite bitter about this for some time. But hey I dont care now. Who needs rakeback when you have the almighty FTP Black Card!!

Agree, too many multi entries in FTOPS. I was going to play the main, not anymore.

This is such an ingenious idea for generating rake, I bet these play with the same amount of action and gambling as a rebuy, but Tilt gets rake everytime you bust and re-enter. Brilliant.

I really like the idea though, but not happy if it replaces too many standard tournaments.

Its kinda lame if you gotta pay rake x6 for 6 entries if the accounts fucking merge. Would be a unique twist if 2 accouts were on same table and you could try and use em to your advantage if possible. I never had thought about that (no i dont ma) but its a cool thought. But since accoutns merge I feel like you should not have to pay rake x 6 you cant final it with 2 names. And if accounts merge you are definately losing equity. That being said I am excited to try it.

That being said ftp is all about looking out for numero uno in every move they have made in the last year whether its rush, adding super turbos hus, these multi entry mtts,adding a fake vpp system thats a fucking joke. Sure, some are interesting/unique ideas that im happy to try but ftp is greedy as fuck in my opinoin in comparisons to stars.

cause they dont want to pay possible overlay...not sure what its been in the past, but the only reason a site doesnt up a guarentee is to protect overlay, otherwise its only beneficial for them...

in regards to this multiple accounts thing, I mean obv they want to do this to generate rake, but wouldn't there be a ton of collusion especially late game? Seems pretty easy before the "merge" if you had more than 1 account on a table you could collude the accounts to squeeze chips from other players or just dump one account to the other which is obv a huge equity gain over merging. This whole multiple accounts things seems like a crash and burn waiting to happen. wp ftp

I can't believe they don't realize they are giving the high stakes regs such an advantage over the the other players. Like really full tilt the main event your gonna give every reg 4 or 6 entries. Gimmicks are how you attract new players/fish. Also, there will be several ppl rebuying or taking extra entries in these tournaments that are very -EV, and are thus adding to an enormous prizepool for the good players, who are having multiple shots at reaching that big 1st prize...doesn't seem all too bad to me? lol unfathomable (think beyond ur roll dude), obv u and gags dont care, u guys are the highstakes players that the majority of players are talking about when they say unfair advantage because u can have multiple entries to the same tourny. and this isnt just a 2x xhance like stars where u bust and have to restart, u get to play multiple players, whcih on ANY OTHER SITE IS CHEATING. but no prob on ftp if its gonna generate rake. no fish without money is gonna buy into a ftops event more then once, only players who can afford it.
i just dont get it, THE INTEGRITY AND DIGNITY OF A CLASSIC GAME HAS TURNED INTO A BUSINESS MAKING NOVELTY GIMMICK.
it would be nice to hear what doyle, negreanu ect have to say about this and how it will affect the game. the point of a tournement is u get one shot to win unless its a rebuy, still rebuy ends and u only have one entry to play.

Yeh after looking at how it works it doesn't seem as bad as I first thought. Only issue is how effective is it in attracting new/losing players? This sounds great for the casual idiot, but for people who might be slight losers or taking shots, this might deter them if they realize the advantage multiple entries brings. I guess anything that keeps the tournament softer is defintiely useful

i certainly understand all of your points dcoop, i'm just trying to say it isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be. and i truly think fish will tilt/rebuy in these things more than they(or other ppl for that matter) expect them to. as long as FTP keeps it to a couple FTOPS events, it could be interesting, but i certainly agree with the masses, that this would not be a good thing to have implemented into the regular MTT schedule. (adding a few new tournaments is fine, but I am referring to them replacing existing MTTs with this format, which would be terrible for the permanent sched)

I co-sign with OP. What ever happened to regular poker and the skill associated with it? It's hard enough for me to explain to people that I'm a poker player who plays a game of skill for a living. How am I going to explain to them that I play super turbo rush re-entry matrix cashout tournaments with reverse bounties for a living?
