  1. Anybody actively trying to grind these out? I was going for the $1-$2 bracket and figured the most efficient was mass grinding super turbos - after about 20 minutes I wanted to gouge my eyes out lol. It's funny how it's not performance based at all really, it's mostly all about volume. It'd still be cool to win a leaderboard I guess just for the Freeroll, I just wish I had more experience playing 30+ 6max super turbos at once.

I tried this earlier today and it was hard to do. The dude who is in 3rd place on the overall leaderboard for the $1-$2 is ChojinYagami.. I sharked his stats and he is playing the $2.15 6 max super turbo's and his score is 159.6. This is absolutely sick because the super turbo's only count half of the points unlike the regular and turbo's that get full points. He is not showing a profit though for the last 2 days. So, all of that bonus money he has won isnt helping much with the losses he has had in trying to play such an insane volume.

This dude last I checked has played damn near 1,000 of these 6 max super turbo's in the madness competition. I also noticed people with higher buy in averages are dropping down to the $1-$2 level. I've even seen a well known P5'er who's sng average buy in of $14 dollars playing the $1-$2 level. This is why I am not wasting anymore time trying to make the leaderboard. Insane volume plus people from higher buy in levels dropping down a level or 2 or 3 is just ridiculous.
  3. That's kinda what I figured. FTP must be making a shit-ton of money on rake through this promotion. I'm guessing most of the people at the top of the $1-$2 aren't even showing a profit after bonuses and everything. It's definitely a great move on FTP's part - it's different from stars's Battle of the Planets and will get so much interest so props to Tilt on this one I guess.

  4. I tried it for like 6 hours Friday evening with the $1 6 max super turbos and realized i wasn't putting in even close to the necessary volume and gave up on it. I don't think it's possible for me to put in the volume required. I got my freeroll ticket and a bunch of "raffle tickets", so we'll see if i get anything out of it. lol

FTP doesn't let you play more than 16 at once. At least that's what they keep telling me.

I generally grind the $11 9 mans and I grinded 16 tables for 12 hours yesterday and another 10 today. I wasn't really trying to win the overall leaderboard, but there is no way you can do it playing 9 mans. The 6 max grinders were outscoring me by about 25%. The highest I got was 3rd.

Yeah 6 max super turbo seems to be the best way to score points. Even though super turbos only give 1/2 points, they finish SO much faster than regular turbos, and the 6 max's finish so much quicker than full ring.

  7. The problem I have with SNG Madness is that FTP really needs to monitor who is playing in what level. I know this is going to fall on deaf ears and I know I am going to get lashed out at what I am about to say.. but a $14 dollar sng player should not be allowed to play in the $1-$2 buy in level. These people who do this are not only stealing equity from the sng prize pool, but also stealing equity from the sng leaderboard.

There is no way a $1-$2 grinder can compete with a $14 dollar grinder when the $14 dollar grinder has around $25K in profits. That is bullshit and this player, who is part of P5's, should be embarrassed he was playing at that level. Is $20 plus the money you make in raping the tables at the $1-$2 buy in worth it Randinho?

I think its pathetic that you dropped that low when your average sng buy in is $14 dollars. Are you too chickenshit to take on your average buy in level in SNG madness?

  8. I grinded out the 50 and 100 super turbos for a couple of hours and did ok. I was just 6/8 tabling. Concentrate on the results rather than volume and you might make better dollars from those trying to play too many at once.

Dude... is that $50 and $100 super turbo's? If so, I guarantee you there is hella more people at the $1-$2 level who are putting in insane volume than at the $50 and $100 level! With the guy I mentioned putting in almost 1000 super turbo's in 2 days.. that is just unreal volume and concentrating on your results rather than volume just isnt going to cut it at this level!
  10. Mesa, I think you get some benefit if you win ANY leaderboard, which would explain why a $14 player would crush the $1-$2 for 2 hours. I might be wrong on this though, I've been up for like 24 hrs straight so I might have read the rules wrong lol

I won one of the group C blocks last night with 9 man's. Just have to run good :).
  14. A low stakes winning player probably stands to make more EV just playing normal volume and exploiting all the people going for the leader board.
