FTP suspends my account and doesnt give me any details, lmao

    WTF kinda crap is this? I have no idea what happened nor will they reveal any info they just shut
    down my account... My brother who i live with has an account and im assumin that's the account that has
    something wrong but how do i get my account back without them giving me any info.

    Talk to your bro first maybe and then contact them back? Must be something seriously wrong with the account for ftp to shut it down, afaik they dont just randomly shut accounts down without good reason.

    my dads acct is suspended for a deposit issue and i was there visiting for a week logged on tilt from my laptop and an hour later i was froze

    mook - you LIVE with your BROTHER.

    you are 99% sure there is something with his account.

    so why are you asking us for help for when it's obvious you need to ask your brother what he has going on? 99.99% likely he bounced a depo or a transfer or something and you have probably transferred back.forth with him before.

    This is standard procedure for the sites, whether you like it or not. At least you most likely know who the problem account is....

    this happened to me once because my bro (who i did not live with, but xferred with) was into something shady. i was super pissed, being totally innocent. apparently he made some transfers with people who never paid up on e-check deposits, who ended up owing money to FT, so all accounts linked ended up getting frozen. about a week of complaining and emails and insisting i had nothing to do with this and the freeze was lifted. full tilt should come to the correct conclusion, albeit it might take a while, but assuming you actually are innocent in all of this you should have no long term problems.

    I tried putting a warning up about this exact kind thing in the transfer thread about being extremely careful who you transfer money to and from. If you made a transfer to someone in the past and their account for whatever reason has problems and gets suspended, SO DOES YOUR ACCOUNT. You WILL NOT get back on the site until this "other" persons account is cleaned up and in good standing again.

    I think it's the most ridiculous unfair policy I ever heard of before, but I am telling you they will not budge on it! I think this policy is the same as anyone who has ever written you a check and you cashed it and then some point down the road this other persons account gets closed by the bank for insuffiecent funds, so they seize your bank account along with every other persons account that has ever cashed a check from this guy in the past! Absolutely insane policy and I can only imagine the problems P5'ers are going to have with their accounts because of all the transfers that have been opened up as of recently.

    My account has been suspended for over a month, and Full Tilt has no intent of giving it back to me.

    My account is associated with another friend's account, and he did some things to break the rules. I have absolutely nothing to do with anything my friend has done. My account is suspended for the sole purpose of the fact that we played at the same location a couple of times.

    Full Tilt doesn't care. They have made it very evident that my account will remain suspended until my friend resolves HIS issues.

    This is complete bullshit. I have money on my account that is being held hostage.

    It's a damn shame Full Tilt is scummy as shit, and would be better run by a group of pre-pubescent teens.

    Obviously I blame my scummy friend, but at the end of the day, it's Full Tilt that is fucking ME over. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and told them to take their time and do their due diligence, and eventually they'd realize that I have nothing to do with whats going on, and release my account back to me. Unfortunately, that was over a month ago, and the latest emails from them confirm that my account will remain suspended until my friend resolves the issues on his account.

    And yes, it is Full Tilt's fault...would it be asking too much to speak to a FTP representative on the phone?! I mean...we're talking about a multi-million dollar company that answered customer e-mails with bullshit generic responses.

    Get real man...if this happened to you your thoughts on the subject would change.

    Yeah i'd be pissed.. but at idiot friend. I've seen enough of these posts to know it could happen so I try really hard to limit transfers to only those I Know/trust well.

    stars would treat this the same way- it's not just FTP by the way.

    And the one time I fucked up and bounced an echeck... you can be very sure that I scrambled to make it right as fast as possible...not to get my account back in action...but to make sure that none of my friends I'd transferred with accidentally got theirs shut down.

    Also you need to see the bigger picture. There is plenty of scamming/ cheating / trying to beat teh sites out of money- a ridiculous amount of it. So while solutions like this really suck to be on teh end of, it's one of the hazards of doing business, (And one of th ebest arguments for keeping only the bare minimum you need to play on site X on site X)

    Until if happens to me, I am for all of FTs security precautions.

    Perfect enforcement of rules/laws is near impossible. Innocent people always get fucked, you just gotta pray you run good.
