Full Tilt Disconnection Issues

    Is anyone else having major disconnection issues with FTP?

    I am losing connection at least twice a session. What happens is my screen freezes, then I get the egg timer, then nothing....

    This has also happened a few times during large key pots where I am just about to stack somebody which is very frustrating!!!

    The only way to fix it is to totally restart my PC but by the time I get back on my hand has obviously folded.

    I have emailed support over 24 hours ago and have not received a reply. Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

    Hey headnick,i had the same problem from the 1st of march to the 4th of march,,being disconected every 2 or 3 hands,,if i clicked on the last hand or tourney info button everything would freeze and i would have to shut down comp and restart,yeah very frustrating,so i emailed support on the evening of the march 1st,finally got a reply on the 4th telling me they had numerous mails about this problem,thanked me for my patience and understanding,,havnt had any disconects since then,,doesnt help you much i know,,very annoying when everything else works but fulltilt keeps freezing.

    Yup, I had the same thing,around those days, I'd click last hand...and Bammm... thought it was my interenet that was being a pain in the ass, but its was FT and as far as I know...they fixed the problem, since I dont have any connex probs anymore! Did cause me to fold some big hands (AA and AK) deep in tournies..ah well nothing you can do...at least they fixed it!

    Screwed me out of some 6 man turbos--six tabling and screen froze, by the time I rebooted and reopened FT, I was down to a few hundred chips in each-so definitely cost me some money. It was the day of a new update download and install. Since then, I haven't had the problem.

    same here... they said tuff shit. the interwebs is not their fault.

    it has been going on since METs updates into FTOPS for a large amount of people. lots of threads regarding this on every forum.

    keep bitching and posting. reimbursements might happen, if they get around to answering your email. gl

    I've had the same but much more regularly than it seems some of you -- every day that I play it will start freezing then disconnecting...if I log out/back in it still happens for up to 1/2 hour or so.

    I was starting to think it's maybe something with Windows Vista, which obv sux, but it's what I have -- do the rest of u have Sony Vaio laptops or use Vista?

    I emailed FTP's technology division and they had uninstall, delete all my previous FTP software (saved my notes/info), and re-install. Has been working much better since.

    It short-stacked me ITM in an FTOPS event, BTW. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee............

    same here. reinstalling will help for a few days. then it is back to same ol' shit but there have been updates like every few days for the past 2 months. client will routinely use 250k system resources during the "issues"

    vista all updates... blah blah blah. been doing this for a bit. since we were all on dail up. last month and a half has been worse imo.

    pokerstars during same time no probs. the PS network status feature during same time is flawless @ 5/6 with the one being 99% rest 100% great feature PokerStars!

    I suggest if you guys are grinders, and can easily recognize peps at the tables. Pull your HHs from FTP site, and check for sit out frequency at the tables during your constant hiccups. let your fellow grinders know imo.

    Happened to me again!!!

    Out of all posters to this thread, does anyone use a HUD?

    I use HEM so I was thinking this may be the cause of the problem?

    If it is I do not have the same problem with stars, most of the time I am on FTP and it freezes my Stars tables keep on working fine.

    I need FTP because Rush is all I like to play these days to work constraints etc.

    I can't help but notice that all of you but Shane are out of US. Has to be a correlation...I have been on pretty much all day since March 1 and haven't had the problem. I would think if it was more widespread, you would see a lot more posts on it.

    I wondered about this also regarding the recent stuff.

    But I have days of grinding 90s where half the table is out @ last 2-3 tbls and there are players from everywhere afaik. At least during the issues on the FEB 6th 11th 13th 14th 16th and 19th. a few other days i haven't done yet.

    Again I suggest sng/mttsng grinders or mtt regs goto FTP site and request fresh HHs from the days you had probs. Open in note/etc. and search "sitting out"

    It will stil happen if HUD/HEM is not used/off. Make sure your HEM and HUD are both current VS. Chk forums first for RUSH/VS issues before updating.

    I started a thread like this some time ago headnick (see link below) and let me tell you, you are wasting your fucking time trying to get Full Tilt support to do anything.

    Like others, I never have a problem with stars or other Clients, it's only ever FT so their bull shit about it being my PC or internet connection is just a crock of shit. They don't want to know so I really wouldn't waste your time trying to get them to sort anything out.

    It is very, very frustrating but what the issues are is anyones guess. Also, support take days to even bother replying!
