    So I'm 2 days away from earning the bronze, I'm 90% sure I'll get gold this month, thisis the first time ive done iron man

    I was wondering, when do you get the "chip" next to your name?

    Right when you earn it or when the next month starts

    anyone know?

    usually it takes a few days into the next month. It is usually only delayed if it is your first month getting iron man. Depending on what level you play at some people respect your shoves more. Im more referring to the lower levels though. All the ballas are already iron man, so they dotn give a damn if that is by your name. Oh and fuck ftp.

    Ive had Iron man for a couple months now and I still dont have a chip next to my name, never really even thought about it until this post I checked my promotions and it says Im opted in but still no chip? Dont really care either way just wondering if anyone knows why...

    you also have to "opt in" to it

    The chip will appear a few days into January in your case, if not and you really want it (donno why) email them.

    The my promotions page where you select to be opted in/out of the chip status doesn't work, for me at least. After at least a year full tilt still can't explain to me why, but you can email them and tell them to keep it or leave it.

    Yes you can see your own chip...

    Yes you can see it if you have one. I think there are alot of pros to having it but I also think there could be lots of cons to having it as well.

    my opionions\thoughts with no statistics to back it up

    a. solid players who are good try to stay away from you/table and focus on the fish
    b. opponents who don't know you- will fold and show you respect early on
    c. good players will make plays at you on occasion and you can make plays back at them
    d. the chip says you make money, i really don't think most people who have the iron man chip lose money consistantly
    e. stealer - if you are a habitual stealer of chips I think you can get away with it more with the iron man chip.
    f. I would compare it to the folks who show their cards on occasion as a form of strategy that can work for you or against you if done incorrectly

    not true. A lot of the fish i play at higher stakes who are regs def have the chip.

    I don't they've ever had that shit working properly.

    I made ironman one month and opted out but the chip stayed there for the month. Another month I didn't make ironman yet the chip was still there for weeks.
