1. Evidently Stars won't register you for tourneys in advance anymore?

    Hello Thayer,

I am sorry, but we are not able to register you in several tournaments at
one time. Please login to the client when registration for these events
is open in order to register.

Let us know if we can assist you with anything else.

  2. they make it sound like u were registering for announced tournements?? where other people preregistered for the onces you tried to sign up for?
  3. I just wanted to be registered in advance for the tourneys on Saturday. Full Tilt lets me do it.

It's a real pain in the ass multitabling and having to remember the entire Stars schedule and remember to register for all of the tourneys when they become available.

  4. i agree its kinda silly that only a couple of the tourneys (like the Sunday mil) can be preregistered well in advance....i mean why cant you register if its on the list (announced)....doesn't really make sense to me

  5. There's a very simple reason for this.

Imagine 150,000 players on PokerStars, if even half of them wanted preregisteration, you now have your entire support staff spending the next X amount of hours preregistering 75,000 users for various tournaments across the schedule.

It's called time management. This is why they won't let you do it - only for specific events - because if the word got out that they will preregister anybody for any tournament, the support staff would have their hands full.

    It's basic business sense.
  6. Or they could open up registration more than an hour before a tournament starts.
  7. Yeah, I don't see a problem in that. Good idea.
  8. So do they just pick and choose which players they will pre register for?

  9. I think asking them to register you for the entire Saturday schedule is a bit much. They offer the service for people who can't be at a computer for the registration period, not for guys who play so many tourneys that they can't be bothered to register for more of them.
  10. Pretty sure I've seen Annette preregistered for an entire day before....

But that's even besides the point.... OPEN UP TOURNEYS SOONER THAN ONE HOUR BEFORE HYACHAHCHAHCHA

  11. Hi all,

Our policy on preregistering players for tournaments is that we are happy to do it for events which do not have a cap on maximum number of entrants. It does not matter if a player wishes to register for one or several tournaments.

A member of our Support team is currently handling this matter for you, Thayer, and will confirm the registrations by email shortly.

For future reference, if you would take the time to send us the tournament IDs for the tournaments you wish to enter that would be helpful, but we will definitely help you as long as the tournaments can be identified by buy-in/start time.

Staff members will be reminded about this policy. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

  12. Nice REsponse!!

  13. matt, that is some serious ownership, i applaud you

but open up prereg more than an hour in advance, thx
  14. Stars once again on top of it all.

    Edit:
    I am a little suspicious

  16. Hi Fortune,

That's Matt, one of our Support Managers, I assure you. (We were discussing this very thread on instant messenger not 20 minutes ago.) As they'd say on Sky Sports, he's right out of the top drawer.

    Cheers,

  17. Welcome to Pocket Fives Matt,
We are glad you are here!
  18. Thanks, Fortune. Good to be here.

  19. Time Management? Business Sense? What the hell are you talking about PT?

Last I checked these sites are automated by computers, there is no reason I can see why online pre-registration requires more support staff.

Has Stars gone back to using paper and pencil to sign people up?

    Peace
  20. Thanks Stars :)

  21. Stars support owns Full Tilt, but for the life of me, I cannot understand why tourney registration opens up an hour before the tourney. There are often tourneys, particularly rebuys, where I would sign up the night before and join them 30 minutes in when I get home from working late, but Stars doesn't offer registration the night before. With FullTilt, the entire schedule is open for registration day ahead and beyond....

EDIT: If I can request pre-reg, that is good to know, but why not just open them up in advance?

  22. i didnt know it was possible to make a title proclaiming full tilt getting better and stars getting worse. Your spell checker should have told you your sentence didn't make sense
  23. i ve been saying it for quite a while, that stars about six months ago started taking the downturn while full tilt in most areas is improving rapidly

  24. Which would explain why Tilt,*which*has*zero*business*sense,*allows*it.
  25. Blind Allegiance is what Stars counts on, swishy. How's the emperors birthday suit?

Stars: wait till 1 hour before tourney to sign up or send email requesting the "privilege" of pre-registration.

FullTilt: Pre-register anytime, no questions asked.

    LOL
  26. stars is still way better for many different reasons in my eyes. I genuinely feel stars is on my side and there to help. In comparison, full tilt takes days to respond and it's usually automated.

  27. I'd agree with all that except for the fact they said they sent my check out to me over two weeks ago and i still haven't received it.........it'll be even better when they pay up.
