Why in the world does Full Tilt allow you to late register but punish you for adding more money to the prize pool by making you sit out a round of blinds?
I late registered a tourney today and 3 times when I was utg I got moved to another table and had to wait ANOTHER orbit for a hand. I waited 15 minutes to play one hand. FIX THIS BULLSHIT or FIX YOUR SOFTWARE so that someone who is actually sitting out an orbit for late reging doesn't get picked to move tables when the blind hits them and have to wait another orbit, and another orbit, and another orbit. Absolutely ridiculous. Or how about this? Be more like stars and don't punish your players for adding money to the prize pool. Is this that hard?
Cosign if you agree. -
GOD DAMMIT I HATE THAT

Well, considering that late registration is horrible it stands to reason that Full Tilt's version would likewise be horrible.
-
I wouldn't consider something that allows the prize pool to be larger and has players start with less BB's than people who pre-register a bad thing....just my opinion tho

agree

WSOP tho

are there any benefits to late reg? I see none myself...

There are upsides as well as downsides to registering late.
Upsides:
1. Less people left
2. Easier to chip up when the blinds are bigger as long as you know what to do
3. You can finish whatever you were doing that made you late for the tourney to begin with lol
Downsides:
1. Most of the dumb donks are gone.
2. Less than optimal blind/stack ratio
3. No clue how the other people at the table you get sat at have been playing so far. -
Late reg is an awesome concept, more money in a prize pool in a field full of idiots is never a bad thing and those of you who argue against it have literally no clue. What possible disadvantage is there to letting someone else sign up after you've already taken a lot of the dead money, and doing so with less than the chip average and less data accumulation on how others at the table play?
That said, the whole "wait an orbit" thing is absurd. It's not a fucking cash game, it's a tournament. Why should you be required to start in the blinds when only 2/9 of all the players in the field start in the blinds? Just give them hands and go. This is especially true in super turbos and/or turbos. Being 15 seconds late to reg for something then sitting out an entire orbit, then getting moved, doing it again, then getting cards at 30/60 with 300 chips is pretty amazing.
Please God, none of the "but it's not fair that they don't have to dodge all the donkeys who won't fold like I have to" arguments. Please continue giving bad players more opportunities to make bad decisions, and giving me an opportunity to reg for something when I get held up for 3 minutes, wake up exactly at 9:59 when stars' 10:00 tournaments are already up, or just really need to poop. -
Good points, I mostly play Turbo games so registering in level12 seems absurd, 1.5BBs?
