Full Tilt Name Change?

    Apparently they won't budge :-/

    Made the name in reference to my love for baseballl from my grandfather, but ever since he passed I just started to not care for it as much anymore. Kinda find it ridiculous that they say its "against the rules" to change my username, yet it's also "against the rules" to have more than one account. (which I did because like 2 years ago I played there, forgot the login info etc, and made this name). Even though it's "against the rules to create more than one account" they closed the other one for me and left this open because I didn't know I couldn't do that basically. Just like I didn't know when I created this username that I couldn't just make a new one if I decided it was time for change.

    Obviously PStars makes exceptions for their players, and Cake allows you to change your username, but of course Full Tilt doesn't give a sh*t. And obv UB and Absolute are crooks, so who cares about them.

    Any ideas?

    try making another account and hope they close the one with the name you dont like

    talk about david benyamine and just say you don't want to have more than one name like he did, you just want a different one than the one you have now. Get dramatic, it'll work unless you talk to Doug who may be hip to your plan.

    FTP is terrible compared to stars; sigh @ UIGEA creating lack of competition :(

    Yea, I've been back and forth emailing them for like 2 days now and they keep insisting that "it's against the rules to allow a player to change their username" blah blah blah......I don't understand the big deal why I can't recreate an account and have the current one closed, or close the current one and then create another name.....it's like they want you trapped with the name you originally signed up with forever. I'll try FTPDoug, hopefully he can help.

    Just request to have your current account closed, then re-open another one.

    I would do that.......but they told me "if you request to close your account, please know that you are still not allowed to create a new one" ........I emailed FTPDoug, so waiting to see what he can do for me, if he can't help me I'll prob just do that. Either that or I'll just ban Full Tilt altogether, it'll be there loss not collecting my rake.

    I tried everything to get my name changed on FTP nothing helped they wouldn't budge.

    create an account in someone elses name if it means that much to you not to have that name. Only down fall is you have to cash out in their name.

    Me too. If you ask to change your name or ask to close account and open a new one, they treat you like a thief. Rediculous! I don't get why its such a big deal.

    I can understand the no name change rule. It would suck if everyone could change their name whenever they felt like it.

    I understand it too, but geez, why are they so harsh about it? I don't see what's wrong with allowing every player actually one name change. I could see if people abusing their policy or something, but it's a simple name change, I think they should at least reach out to their players more by having some sort of leniency. Oh well.

    I hear ya. I tried to change mine too but even FTPDOUG could not help. In the end, I have come to embrace my name on there.....DONKTARD. That way if I play bad, I have an instant excuse, but when I play good, it works in my favor.

    It's really quite simple to change your name if you want to... Simply become a FTP pro and bam, your actual name becomes your new screen name. Simple.

    I changed my name on FTP last month.
    "Thank you for your response.

    We are happy to inform you that your request to change your Player ID
    has been approved. Please send us three alternate Player IDs, and we
    will make the change for you.

    Players IDs can be up to 15 characters long, and can include letters,
    numbers, spaces and hyphens. It will take 3 to 5 business days for your
    Player ID to be updated, and we will send you an email to confirm when
    this has been done. You will then be able to log into your Full <span>Tilt</span>
    Poker account using your new Player ID and existing password.
