  1. Suprised this havent already been done
  2. cosign
  3. Uhhh what? The point of HU is because you think you have an edge playing the other person, not flips. If you want to do that just sit a game and shove every hand.
  4. FT has 300 chip tourneys, sit n goes, only makes sense 2 throw a few up there HU...i can almost guarantee they will get this done in the next month or so, they have 2... like i said, I am absolutely shocked this havent been done...

  5. Why? Just Why? Not a very thought out question.

Smoke more pot and repost please.
  6. This is a crap idea,it will reduce the amount of tilted fish sitting down in the normal heads up sngs, when you can just wait for your spot- or they could just sit down in 300 chip one's and take a flip.

  7. this is beyond dumb. rake will kill this easily. i don't see how it's profitable even against below avg players.

you can say this about the 6/9 handed super turbo's too...point of these is to satisfy the degen in all of us, HU would just be another way to do so

  9. Sounds like half a step away from Cake's kamakazi tournaments. I hope it doesn't come to that.
  10. I would sign a petition to NOT have these. Takes all the skill out of the game..
  11. lol @ this
you might as well have a Kamakazie HU
  12. Seems to me like the majority who have posted in this thread are pretty clueless when it comes to super turbos and in fact probably don't play them at all. Maybe they played a couple, got a bad beat or two, and surmised that it isn't a skill game because they didn't win with their unstoppable skillz.

A good super turbo player can be very profitable in either single table mode or 45-man mode, and I don't really see why heads up would be all that different. Your edge is much smaller than in a regular tournament because you start in the endgame, but they are profitable because there are so many players who make so many mistakes that in the end profit is inevitable...

Those who don't think push-fold and adjusting your push-fold ranges to your opponent over a longer term sample size require skill are simply not willing to put in the time necessary to get good at it. It's a different skill set, but it's still a skill set.

To be fair, I probably wouldn't play as many because it's much easier to mass multitable full ring super turbos vs heads up and, given that your roi will be lower than in standard headsup, you'd have to play a ton of them to really show profit... I think i'll just sit here luckboxing my way to 9-handed super turbo profit over and over and over. Skill-free.
  13. I just started playing on FT, coming from UB.... UB has heads up 500 chip and it works out great... infact waaaaaaay more ppl play these than the 1500 chips, check for yourself.... I didn't think this many ppl would b against this....

I play the 45-mans on FTP, and I think they're a lot of fun and great for when I only have an hour or two and want to grind through a few games. They require a whole different skill set and are great practice for when you're short stacked in an MTT. But there's a huge difference between playing a super turbo against 45 people than against 1. I don't see how having a heads-up match would be worthwhile. You start with 300, blinds are 15/30. So you raise to 90. If the opponent reraises all-in, you're basically pot committed. At least with a 45-man, you have six or seven hands before you're pot committed preflop, in heads-up you'd have two or three max.

My brother makes a very steady profit playing the 45-mans, so there's no question that they are a profitable skill game, but like you said the 2-man game would be pretty tough to beat the rake.
  15. i like the idea. why not try it?

start the blinds at 1/2? LOL

  16. Im amazed that more ppl dont agree with me here.... its not going 2 hurt the heads up traffic..... did matrix hurt sit n go traffic? dont think so..... this is something that HAS 2 b done!! immediatly!!!!!! speaking of matrix, they really have 2 toss that 1 out the window... horrible idea...
