So full tilt poker has temporarily suspended my account because of my association with my friend who apparently has some shady sh!t going on with his account. However i told them to check my hand history because there is no evidence of collusion or anything of that sort. I transferred him money once, so that makes me guilty and suspendable? I think this is BS and i've voiced it to full tilt poker staff with little being done about it. What is your take on it?
-
if ur telling the truth then it happens, it happened to me, and rightfully so they should be careful. just keep sending them emails and hopefully they give up
-
No i'm dead serious. I told them in my lastest email to check my hand history. I mean there's nothing to hide, i just want my account re-activated. Its pissing me off.

I like how the title says "NO REASON", then you immediately give the reason.
This is a standard security precaution, your acct will be back shortly, provided you are not involved in any of said friends shady shit. (which, sadly, you most likely are given that 80% of these type threads result in the OP being convicted as a MA or something equally horrible. I'm not saying you are an MAer, I'm just saying it's likely as a matter of probability) -
Yer beat....they know they can't trust anyone from Lake Hopatcong
-
Haha, newton... come on man! we all know what you braves are like
-
I can vouch for the OP....only thing he is guilty of is grind on the mind...hang in there bro, remember all the crazy sh!t i had to endure for....well you know who....lol

Eh...they may not re-open it as soon as you may think. My account was in great standing with no issues whatsoever. I had regged in 2 FTOPs main sattys and then had a work emergency I had to tend to. They were $109's and I didn't want to eat it so I started asking friends to log onto my account SOLELY to unregister me from these two satellites. I had forgotten my one friend had been banned for delinquent depositing history. Two days after he logged on and unregistered me my password stopped working. I emailed them and they basically told me they were keeping my account closed until he resolved his issues. Just got that straightened out after 3 months of waiting. Obviously was my own fault but it doesn't really matter how clean your account is. They may lock it down until your friend resolves his issues.

It's always a friend's fault.
Get better friends. imo -
Yup Yup, over a year and a half ago i tranferred money back and forth to a player on FTP. He was in the same city as me and we made a 1 time transfer. 1 month later my account got frozen because the person i transferred to wrote a hot check and owed FTP $600+ . The player never repayed his debts and my account was never un-froze because of it. FTP will not do a thing until the sole person is set straight. I cried for a while then moved on to Bodog...

Good luck man. Full Tilt suspended my account over 6 months ago for "being associated with someone who had fraudulent activity." I was in no way, shape, or form involved in anything having to do with "my friend."
When I say I follow the rules and have NEVER done anything against FTP terms/rules, it's the 100% truth.
Full Tilt doesn't care. They have no interest in helping me resolve my issue until "my friend" resolves his issues with them. Unfortunately for me, this "friend" really isn't my friend, and we are so far out of touch that there is nothing I can do but accept it and call it what it is....BULLSHIT, UNFAIR.
I only play on Poker stars now...not by choice. Thanks for nothing Full Tilt. -
Yea. I run good that my "friend" is actually a friend and he fixed the issue thankfully.
-
transfered one time is enough for them to shut down your account and it will be shut down until your friends clears up his mess. If he doesnt clear it up gg to you ever playing on full tilt again. Get on your buddies ass and tell him to get his stuff cleaned up if you wanna play on full tilt ever again.

The same thing happened to me at FTP. A friend of mine from highschool gave a bad e-check for $100 and has yet to pay them the money. My acocunt got banned and I sent a few e-mails back and forth before I simply gave up and moved on to PS. If i'd have a nice cash I'd send him a few bucks if he had gone broke, and I had also played on my own name from his computer multiple times when I had been at his house. So I was unable to convince them that while I had a "close" association with him I was not him and should not be banned as well. But my account is still closed. And it wouldn't be a big deal to me if I didn't have a few hundred dollars cash on there and also a few hundred in tourney$'s.
Live and learn. Surrounding yourself with better people is essential. -
This is why you don't send money to beggars. My account also got locked by Tilt, but they resolved it and unlocked it the next day. Sucks that some people here have been locked out for months. It's not fair but to be honest I wouldnt be suprised if there was some sort of collusion happening for Tilt to react the way they did.

Man all these people who have friends that are scum bags. So if your friends are scumbags does that make you a scumbag?

Both PS and FTP have similar polcies. If you have matching IPs with a person who steals from PS or FTP by not having money in their bank account when EChecks come calling, or any other scam activity that causes FTP or PS to lose money, the matching IP account will generally suffer. There are many people who say, I have nothing to do with it, when in fact they are part of the conspiricy (or are the same person). So at some point, FTP and PS decided to clamp down really hard on the associated accounts. Of course, if they just rip off one of us, and do not effect PS or FTP monies, they generally do not care (unless you can show them there is a multi-account or other cheating going on)

FullTilt shut down my account once in 09"...I had refered a friend and they played on their laptop a few times on my wireless network at my house w/me. We never once played in anything together as he was brand new to internet poker. He was so new that he never filled in his account information...lol. So when he hit his mark for FTPs so we could get the bonus I emailed FullTilt. At that point they locked up my account and wanted me/us to send them our information so to make sure I didnt have MA's. Of course I was also registered for a few trnys I didnt get to play including the Silver Ironman and One A Day freerolls...bummer. After a couple of well worded emails to them and the proper ID/info they unlocked my account. My friend wasnt so lucky since he never filled his account out anyway he just gave up on it. And of course since he didnt follow thru neither of us ever got that bonus. But during the stressful 3/4 day process I have to say that FT did a pretty good job resolving the issue. They looked back thru and seen there was no wrong doing on either account and lucky for me they turned me back on. So in closing if you really didnt do anything wrong and you send them the proper info they will unlock your account after the brief interuption...best of luck
