Game was busted here this weekend. I've been invited to several times by some people that play with me sometimes. I was weary of it because it's in a very high traffic area and a lot of people knew about it.
lol..........
In 2005, Paul "Cigar" McKinney won the World Series of Poker seniors event in Las Vegas, taking home $202,725. On a bio sheet for the tournament he listed his hobbies as "moonshine, cigars and young women." -
some of those guys were old 70-80 years old. cops might as well busted the bingo game at the old folks home

Kingsport's vice unit and community policing team found 16 men at 4209 Fort Henry Drive about 9:30 Friday night sitting around a table playing poker when they police raided the building.
pretty full table
and why do they have to release so much personal info on the ppl? -
i love how the advertisement on that page is a google map showing how to get to the "gambling operation". if it ever starts up again i got directions

Self justification to the public. GENERALLY the amount of 'bad' or 'immoral' information that is released to the media is directly proportioned with public support for the law enforcement agencies used.
The public pays taxes and they vote.
This game was probably known about for some time. Maybe the public felt that not enough was being done to combat 'crime' in the community. Maybe the public is against gambling in that area.
By portraying the accused as bootlegging, womanizing, gun toting gamblers, as opposed to poker players, pressure is placed upon whatever judge hears this case. It also makes the cops looks like heros, instead of the Gustapo. -
I see Sheets was arrested, where was Bax? Hmmmmm........

I was at a local poker tournament last year that got busted up. It was some pretty scary shit. 10-12 storm troopers with a gun in your face is not my idea of entertainment. There were a hundred of us and one by one they went to each guy and took all the money that we had on us, in addition to the $300 buy-in. The funny thing, was that the cards weren't even in the air yet. We were all sittin there eating banquet chicken. Fortunately only the organizers got into any kind of trouble.

LOL, that's so sick how they put all their mugshots with names like they are some sort of FBI's Most Wanted List; give me a break.
