  1. You are in the BB at your local casino. Just sat down with a rack and you have no idea who is who. and how these guys play. you are dealt A2 off suite and 2 other players limp in front and the small blind completes. flop comes 62A with 2 diamonds. SB bets, you raise knowing that the majority of his range is AX and flush draws and you are only dead to 10 combos which is a set of 66 or 22 or the unlikely A6.

everyone folds but the SB. who calls. the turn is the T of diamonds. the SB bets pot!

    what the hack?

whats the play here guys, cuz i am stuck. I feel the times i call he is gonna show me a flush and when i fold his gonna flash A7 in to the muck. its like the number of combos of Ax or even a hand like 6T or 62 even out with the flush draws and sets so now i have a 50/50 decision except i cant tell if this guy would bet a flush or check raise it, or would he bet Ax again for protection, or maybe he had a set to begin with!

this has happened like 100 times and thats not even counting the internet!

    any advise is greatly appreciated.
  2. Is this a tournament or a cash game?

You also need to tell us how much you raised, how big your stacks are approximately, the size of the blinds and what your opponent was wearing in the evening.
  3. If I just sat down and have no reads on anyone, I fold. He bet flop, you raised, and now he's leading into you on the turn after one of the worst cards for you peels off (the other would've been a 6 to counterfit your two pair).

You might be good, but there will be much better spots to get your money in later. Save your money and wait.

I just wonder why he bet the entire pot with the best card for his hand...

edit: I just remembered it's live. I no longer wonder.
  5. Truthfully, we might be ahead here, but there is so much beating top and bottom, and dude is leading into us like he could give a damn about the flush card. If I've been playing a while and have some reads and chips to play with, it may not be a fold. But in a case like this, I fall back on my "it's too early" reaction, and let it go to wait for spots where I'm less confused about where I'm at in the hand.
