    FTP is infested wiht hundreds of them @ the .25/.50 level.

    Why are 95% German?

    I can't be the first to notice this. So does anyone have an explanation?

    I've seen a few popping up at the NL O8 micro tables as well. They are terrible though.

    I don't know why they have become so many. But I do know that most of them are not playing the shortstack correctly. They are calling raises without enough implied odds (set mining, suited connectors, etc.), shoving light, and chasing draws with wrong odds. Exploit them.

    The more I think about it the fishier this all seems. I find it completely implausible that hundreds of Germans would all sign up for FTP and automatically know how to play the exact same short stack strategy, while I hardly ever see people from the United States/UK playing this same way. Shouldnt there be some kind of balance here?

    I am not accusing these people of cheating as I have no evidence of that. What I am trying to figure out is what is the cause/reason of this? At the very least these people have communicated and put this strategy together. Maybe as innocently as on forums somewhere. <span> </span>Maybe they are all bonus/rake back whoring? Maybe a German sweat shop?

    i'm not exactly sure, but i heard that there was an article/a strategy put out talking about short stacking in germany. hence why so many.

    and no, they're not donaters like your typical single tabling donk that buys in short. maybe some are at the lower limits, but at 1-2 and up it's not the case usually.

    not too sure about the whole shortstacking thing but poker is getting massive in germany obv. Besides taht its spreading East on TV and what not to Poland, Estonia etc etc, wwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    it'S because of a site called pokerstrategy.cc. It's basically a poker school which gives you $50 to start and teaches you either shortstacking until you build a bankroll, FL or SnGs. It's huge in Germany and they recently signed a deal with FTP (before they were exclusively at party but then expanded to other sites)

    Ipoker and ongame are riddled with shortstacks with german locations at the micro Nl tables. I think theres a nw bot program undergoing trials cos they have all appeared in the last 2 months and they all suck.

    You can catch them all in on the flop with top pair, so just sit back and wait to hit something bigger and take their stack. They never re-buy. I had a bad run recently and made a few hundred back just waiting on them to go in with bad hands.

    It cddfertainly has also something to do with Intellipoker, a german trainingsite, wich is connected primarily with pokerstars, but they're teaching the short stack strategy also.
