  1. Congrats to Gimbel for his win.Not sthing personal against him but i find ridic from pokerstars to promote so much that he is the youngest ever winner on a pca event.

That just proves that Gimbel was playing online poker on their site from 2007(gibler321) when he was 17 years old.

That is just against site's rules as i know but they still keep promote him as the youngest winner ever.Time to attract some young clients!

    just horrible

  2. F THE HATERZ
  3. Who cares? I dont know about anyone who didnt play poker underage. Those who didnt play underage was probably 18+ in 2003 anyways.

EDIT: You gonna hate on Annette too? The youngest(still?) ever bracelet winner?
  4. cool story brah

  6. I don't understand why so many ppl rag on underage players, other than jealousy ofcourse. What advantage do they get from playing underage?
     1
  7. whats messed up is the double standards... like i know someone who had 25k confiscated cause he came clean to the site when he was of age to fix his age in the system so yeah... whats good for 1 should be good for the rest

Thats right OP Twelve year old with Triple Crown, that means he is on at least 3 sites, way to go kido
  9. Take a lesson from P5's.

It's okay to break certain rules and not others.

If you have a problem that is not widely accepted by the rest of this community you are a "hater" and will be ostracized.

If everyone else multi accounted at one point in their lives, it would be accepted by the community as only a minor infraction, just like playing underage because "everyone else did it".

  11. I'm sure stars will be sooooo happy to promote someone who was able to play on their site while underage as the winner of their marquis live event.

  12. am i mistaken .... did he win yesterday or 2007?

are they saying that he has played on the site since o7 or you just did some research.
  13. i would expect from a mod to give a wiser answer but probably you misread my post so.......

as i told i dont have a problem either with gimbel or any other player that is playing underage.(to tell the truth this is against the rules but lets say that this is not so serious as multiaccounting).

my main concern is about the promotion of pstars that urges anyone ,even underage people, to play on their site.

maybe when you have children you will understand how serious my post is.

    Regards

No. You're a moron. Anything that steals equity from other players will always be frowned upon. Playing underage had no effect whatsoever on you or anyone but the player. I hate idiots like you who try to teach lessons when you just sound like a complete toolbox.
  15. dont know about you but im gonna email stars and ask them to appoligize for this sad situation. they prostituting his name! money whores! either they apologize or shut my account down.

Obv shoulda removed the 25k prior to coming clean. bad beat
  17. stars doesn't even promote its non big name players to the public

only way hell ever surface is on the site, where they dont need to market
  18. We dont have enough of these kinda threads imo

thats what i said... but the dude is sporting like a 200k bankroll now but yeah for sure get that money off the site first then come clean is the route i would have taken.

but fuck it... i know of another underage player that beat me hu in a mtt for about 10k difference... still underage now.....
  20. I'd be pissed too if I was from Greece and all of the women there have snaggleteeth
  21. how old is he? did he qualify underage?

  22. I think the real reason people have trouble with underage players is that in general at 16, you lack the maturity needed to deal with the money/strategies/mental stress involved in poker. I sure as hell wouldn't want my 15 year old grinding MTTs and having no concept of money because he's binking the 69 dollar on FTP for 11k.

With that being said, I don't think this is cheating in the least, but rather a violation of TOS. I don't see an advantage to him playing underage besides the disadvantages that are inherit and against him for being underage. I think there's a big distinction that needs to be made between violating TOS and cheating in terms of gaining an advantage in poker.

In terms of equity, I'd want every 16 year old in the world to play poker. 98% of them have nfc about keeping a straight head on their shoulders and would tilt it all away super quick. In terms of my personal feelings and beliefs, not many people under the age of 18 have the mental fortitude to deal with this game and thus should be kept away.

Thanks for making my point for me.

The rules in the TOS only apply "if they steal equity".

    Got it.

And BTW I didn't teach anything. It's fairly fucking obvious what the responses were going to be by anyone with half a brain.

The coolest part is that this is the first time in my life I've been called a toolbox. I feel kind of honored.
  24. Very well said Wein.

EXPERIENCE... if one player follows the rules and waits to play online until he is 18 and one plays at age 16 and has a few hundred thousand to a mill hands under his belt, who has the advantage????

not trying to hate on him. im just saying... there is an advantage to playing underage

  28. I think OP is just pointing out that rules were broken and they are there for a reason. I don't think he's hating on him. when someone breaks the rules, there are consequences that can follow.
  29. I'd also like to clarify that I could give a shit less about someone playing underage.

But the rules are the rules for a reason and you don't get to pick and choose which one's you follow.

The constant double standard is a joke.
  30. Isn't it well known that stars has banned underage players until they turn 18?
