I just love this site, and if I was more profitable (and didnt track my result in my own spreadsheet) (no you cant have it) (yet) I would definitely subscribe. The 5 free searchs function is useful on its own.
Playing a HU match the other night I got very unlucky to some dickhead from Melbourne who proceeded to call me a fish and a loser. If anyone did this in a live game I would consider a lifetime ban from the cardroom a fair price to pay for beating the living shit out of him. But what can you do online?
Answer: Sharkscope
Turns out this guy has lost $500 just at stars playing some fairly low stakes. How can you get upset about being called a fish and a loser by a fish and a loser? This has happened a few times, and each time I have Sharkscoped them, they turn out to be long term losers.
Is it an online poker truth? Abusive asshole = loser?

Im an abusive asshole and a loser. But ive won a small amount of money according to sharkscope

IMO, it doesn't necessarily mean a verbally abusive player is a money loser. However, if you think about it logically, anyone who uses a ton of words of emotion and gets angry, namecalls, etc., is most likely very emotional themself. You could argue a player who goes on rants and criticizes is more prone to sloppy play and tilt due to their emotions. Just my opinion, but then of course there are tons of pros who are total jerks yet their poker play is unaffected.

I wrote this when I was in an optimistic mood. Now I am in a pesssimistic one.
God Damn Sharkscope
I just hate this site, the 5 free searches are the bane of my existence.

Is it an online poker truth? Abusive loser = going to get lucky and donk me out of a buy in?

I agree that abusive asshole definantely does not equal loser, but sharkscope does make me feel a little bit better after some donkey takes me out, then i realize that he is down like 8k playing $20 sngs.
-
i am also an absolute asshole jerk at the table and a consistent winner so your little analogy might need some tweaking
-
You are correct. A great majority of abusive assholes are losers.
In the moments that I have fit this category (very very few but there have been times), I have been a loser.
The top guys, for the most part, have class, and carry themselves well. Sure, there are exceptions.... but less face it
- We all dream of being at the top someday
- We would prefer to be respected when we get there. -
....single???:)

Single, but a guy.

when someone is abusive just ask them
where is your fkn WCOOP Bracelet. oh wait you don't have one. -
I love it when you get a wannabe table captain who tells you he 'usually plays much higher' or that he is a big winning player or whatever and you 'scope him then let then table know he is full of air... more often i just turn off the chat but have a couple of experiences of putting a motormouth in their place!
Cheers, Mark

i disagree jennifear, when i'm rolling in an mtt lets say on bodog, because i can be much more aggressive in a bodog 109 than i can say the stars 109r, i tend to open up and actually chat and when i chat to players at my table i'm not a nice person(exceptions for ppl i know or talk to on aim obv.) but i seem to play better and have no trouble laying down hands in fact i'd say i'm less emotional when i'm being an abusive asshole but then again i don't usually get mad at anyone but myself or LEE or BEANIE for badbeats/badcalls and i rarely tilt.

I once had a guy playing at a $0.01/$0.02 NLHE table on stars tell me that he was actually a really good player, and that he usually plays $5/$10 games and has a bankroll of $25k, and how he cashed out $4k today, and how his girlfriend was hot, and she was coming over later to give him a BJ.
I had only said "hello". -
That might have been me Karnage. Everything is true except about the 25K roll and the 4K cashout.
-
yes, abusive asshole = loser, but many of them win $ at cards......
