I'm predominantly going to be playing low-buy in tourneys... but I'm also looking to take a crack at maybe a $300-$400 buy-in tourney.
Around that time frame there's the $300 Venetian Deepstack and the $300 Caesers WSOP Circuit event. Which one should I play?
Things to consider will be best structure, weakest field, and best incentives (either through the casino or the tournament series, etc). -
Anyone have any insight on the strength of the fields?

Hey guys, I know you guys don't know me but I'm meeting up with friends in Vegas tonight and I'll be there until Sunday. I'm playing Friday and Saturday's Deep Stack events at The Venetian.
Is anyone else planning on playing this weekend?
To answer OP, Caesars has good low buy in tournies. I recall them having a few tournies each day from $60+ buy ins. When I went there were tons of tourist types and Louie Anderson was in the room playing a $135 SNG (something near that amount, not exact). Last Deep Stacks I went to, Venetians had 7pm-ish Last Chance tournies for like $185. The best thing I did was went to each hotels' site and printed off their schedule. It's hard to plan everything in advance. You might get knocked out of a Planet Hollywood tourney w/in 1st hour and need to know when the next tourney is spread and at which casino. GL, if I remember I'll come back to this thread and mention how I did. -
PS. It helps to print the schedule out in advance so you can calculate the house percentage. Some of the low buy ins have horrible rake vs. structure/payout.

Definitely the Venetian Deep Stack events. I played a few of these last year. Great structure, a lot of play, a lot of soft players, good payouts. I will be there April 10-17 and will play in several. Good luck, maybe I'll see you at the tables.

I live out here and the V's tourneys are my fav. I love the room. It's a very comfortable room, good tourney staff and waitresses. Its nice they use the auto shuffler so you get a few more hands per hour. Ceasars is okay but not even in my top 3 rooms out here.
Cliffnotes:
Definitely the Venetian Deep Stack events.
