    not only is he one of the best nlhe players to ever grace us with his presence...he is also one of the most genuine and warm-hearted of all the pros, now this folks is how main event champs should act

    I don't know if my sarcasm meter is off or not, but I actually have to say this is the truth. I met him in Vegas about a month after his win (we were both staying at the Venetian) and he <span>started</span> a conversation with me, and we walked and talked together all the way to the poker room, which helped me quite a bit when I sat down to play (unfortunatley, he did not offer to stake me).

    He comes off pretty arrogant on TV, but from that (admittedly brief) encounter, he appeared to me to be a pretty down to earth guy, especially for someone from Hollywood.

    I still think he is a clown but good on him for doing this, and since I dont know him maybe I have a false interpretation.

    right, i forgot how much major media attention celebrity charity poker tournaments got.

    remind me to watch the Daily Ten the day after the event for a full recap.

    Actually... "Gold doing good" is grammatically correct in this instance.

    Just had a deep discussion with two teachers and a librarian that are over for a Christmas celebration and the consensus is that "Gold doing good" is a poor sentence.
